Ashley's POV

Jennifer drags me gently past the hoards of people and through the reception of the cinema. The loud conversations of outside are drowned out by the closing glass doors as I let go of the metal handle bar. A small group of people are talking in the corner and Jenn and Connor are by the food counter.

I try to make my way over to them but Jenny resists and sends me a stern look hastily. She leads me up a set of stairs and through another set of double doors.

"Right, I don't know what is happening out there but I'm pretty sure the argument your friends are having consists heavily of you. So you're going to go out there and sort whatever it is out before Caspar has to walk into the theatre in front of a crowd of 300 people having to think about whatever they are arguing about" Jenny whispers harshly. Her original soft expression returns and she smiles apologetically at me.

"just please sort it out" she whispers softly before walking past me and down the set of stairs.

I wipe the confused expression off my face and take a deep breath, preparing myself to break up another argument.

I walk slowly towards another set of double doors and push gently again the peeling paint on the metal frame. The modern theme of the cinema seems to stop here. They must not have renovated it yet. I follow the short corridor and I finally begin to hear the harsh whispers.

"Are you serious? Ashley isn't like that! I don't know who you think you're talking to mate" the familiar deep voice belonging to Marcus echoes.

"She's the one doubting our relationship!" Joe's hurt voice rings in my ear.

"You've barely been together 2 seconds and you're the one doubting the relationship Joe"

"Well she's left me before! What's to say she won't do it again?!" Joe's voice cracks.

"She left the uk for la because that was her dream Joe. And that was over a year ago. She won't do it again. She wouldn't do that to someone she loves" Caspar tried to comfort Joe.

"But she will do it again! Troye said it himself. They're going to be going to award shows and shit like that all over the country! All over the world goddammit!"

"Look man I think you took it the wrong way! I said that her career is going to be the focus of her life right now, I was just agreeing with Cameron. She only had a go at you outside because you asked her questions she isn't comfortable with, I never said that she was just gonna forget you" Troye chimes in.

"Joe! You're going to have to except that you're in the wrong here. Ashley's a smart girl. She's going to figure out what's happening and when she does; we'll be backing Ashley" Jack says stubbornly.

I speed my walking up. The conversation makes no sense. I'm so confused ugh.

As I turn the corner everyone turns their heads.

"Ashley" Marcus warns slightly.

"What the hell is going on?" I question.

Is this what they've been so sketchy about all day? Why couldn't Joe just ask me if he's genuinely concerned about something.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Please just leave Ashley" Joe demands.

What the hell has gotten into him?

"No..." I start stubbornly but then trail off.

"You're going to explain to me whatever it is that's bothering you because if you like me as much as you say you do then you'd tell me, if you're in love with me then you'd trust me Joe" I begin to get desperate for answers.
