Chapter 5 3

Ashley's POV

I don't know what to do. I really don't.

My mind pounds, throwing every single thought I conjure up into a whirlwind of tears.

This has happened before. Why has it happened again.

I sob harder into the pillow, my muffled cries silenced by the sound proof door. No one can hear my cries for help in here. Just what I need.

"Ashley, what the hell are you doing?"

Jenn's faltering voice slices the silence in the room. I refrain from facing her for I know that I will only cry harder if she sees the damage he has done to me.

"I told you it was too soon Ashley. Well... I didn't tell you. I thought it. I knew it was too early for you to get into another relationship and I should have said something"

Her voice quivers yet I can tell that she's trying not to let on that she's upset.

"I'm... fine"

"Oh give me a break Ashley. You're not fine and you never have been since Joe waltzed back into your life. You let your feelings get out of control and now look at what's happened. I'm getting Troye. Don't move"

The last I hear is the clicking of the door.
Oh sweet silence. How Ive missed you. I've forgotten what it's like to be in my own company for a while. Maybe I'll take a break from everything for a while and just read in my room. Maybe I'll just run away and lie on a beach in Hawaii.

Maybe not.

"Ashley, stop crying, stop please" Troye's voice begs as he slides into my room.

"Ok" I say quietly and try with all my might to suppress my heavy sobbing.

His hands rub my back as I close my eyes and relax into the soft pillow.

Troye leaves soon after. He realises that I just wanted to be by myself and took everyone including Joe on some sort of trip to the shopping centre. The only person left in the house is Marcus.

I can hear the clacking of cutlery as he cooks downstairs. Interrupting my thoughts.

Soon the noice stops and all I can hear is the wind hitting against the window and the muffled noise emulating from the tv downstairs. It's sunny today. But it's cold. The bitter wind bites at your skin as soon as you walk outside. I heard Conor and Jack screaming about the cold wind messing up their hair as soon as they opened the door. Dorks.

I decide to get up and do some work. There's no point in me just moping around my room.

Deciding that I'm probably not in the right frame of mind to film a video, I edit a few vlogs I've been filming over the break.

Clips of me and Joe threaten to start my sobbing match off again but I try to refrain myself from letting go.

After about 2 hours of editing, I hear the front door open. My friends' chatters fill the house killing my peaceful tranquility.

I sigh and get up to lock my door. I do not want to talk to anyone.

As I plonk back down onto my bed, I notice the sound of someone pacing outside my door.
Choosing to ignore it, I log onto twitter.

Tweets flood my timeline and I try to read each one to catch up on what's going on in the world. Videos from Justin bieber's tour, I hope I get tickets to a show this year. It would be nice to go on my birthday.

A video of a dog smiling surfaces. Gotta love them dog videos.

After watching a series of funny videos to cheer myself up, I decide to go through my mentions and notifications.

@joesbutler: I swear if I hear one more person talk about how that girl at the pier with Joe isn't Ashley, I will start swinging.

@hugmeashley: @joesbutler for real though, people keep making a big deal out of it like, it's none of their business!

@pointlessnala: Joe is obviously cheating on Ash though

@thatcherbutler: @pointlessnala and you know this how? They haven't even confirmed that they're in a relationship so stfu

I turn off my phone and let my eyes flicker to the door. A shuffling sound begins to get louder as the seconds tick by.

Suddenly a note appears. I tip toe over to the small note that lays on the ground.

I open it without making any sound.
It reads:
