Chapter 42

Ashleys POV

The scent of mint and soap fills my nostrils. I open my eyes slightly to find out where the origin of the smell comes from.

Light streams in through the pearl white blinds forcing me to squint as I try to figure out where I am. I look to my left and find Joe lying next to me. His hair is messy and whipped across his face. His hands are tightly wrapped around me. Almost like he never wants to let go. His steady breathing is audible in the room as his eyes flutter open. His gaze immediately falls upon me, but instead of being flustered and nervous like he usually is, he smirks.

"I know you were staring" he winks. I can't help myself from blushing and my heart begins to race.

"I'm only kidding" he laughs playfully pinching my nose.

"Your cute when you blush. Has anyone ever told you that?" I shake my head and nuzzle my head into his neck, embarrassed. His chest vibrates as he laughs. I could listen to his laugh all day. It's so beautiful.

I lift my head with a gleaming smile as I listen to his laugh. I look into his eyes again and Joe bites his lip as he searches my face. Suddenly my mind is plunged into a chorus of worried thoughts.

What are we? Are we a thing? I think it's best to leave it for now. I'll ask him another time when there isn't as much drama in our lives.

I whip my gaze away from Joe and to the bathroom door. Caspar emerges from the steamy room with nothing but a towel around his waist. A smile grows on his face as he notices our flustered expressions.

"Oh so your awake now?" He teases.

I roll my eyes and unwrap myself from Joe's grasp. A small smile is perched on his face as he lets me go.

"I'll go get dressed" I tell him and I slide out of the large bed. I pull my shirt down and tip toe across the room. The door suddenly flings open and Oli and Jack stand by the door. Their eyes scan my body as my face heats up. Their jaws drop so I cough to let them know. Their mouths immediately shut and they awkwardly let me through. I can feel their eyes bore into my back as they watch me leave the room and I later hear Joe telling them off. I can't help but giggle to myself.

I burst into my room in a flurry and grab a pair of gym shorts along with a sports bra. I put them on and grab a jumper. My personal trainer will be waiting. I glance at the bed that lays next to my own bed and find Jenn fast asleep. I prance over quietly and gently shake her shoulder.

"What?" Her American accent sounds around the room.

"I'm going to the gym. Wanna come?" I loudly whisper. She scoffs tiredly.

"Lol no who do you think I am" I laugh lightly and roll my eyes... Again.

"Alright Jenn. Ill text you when I'm finished. Make sure you get up and have breakfast soon" I warn her and make my way out the room.

"Bye Ash" she mumbles into the pillow.

"Bye" I laugh and jog downstairs.

My friends crowd around the kitchen counter as they eat their breakfast. They all greet me good morning. I let them know where I'm off to and grab some toast along with a strawberry smoothie that Niomi made me. As I walk to the front door I hear people shouting my name.

"Ash! Ashy!" Joe exclaims as he sprints down the stairs. He's wearing the kit he wore at the YouTube allstars vs sidemen fc match. The red compliments his skin tone and he looks so damn good in it.

I wait for him to say something.

"Your going to the gym right? Ok yeah whatever we're all coming with" he says rushing. He brushes his hand through his hair hastily and grabs a breakfast bar.
