"Kill it! Kill it Oli, kill it!" Josh yelled while jumping up and down on the couch I was sitting on making me shake. "Are you hearing me?! Shoot that fucking thing!"
Josh's eyes were fixed on the screen before us while he screamed at me to shoot the zombie that was running towards us in the video game. He was hitting the buttons on his console as fast as he could trying to hit me with his leg and balance on the soft couch at the same time while I couldn't even focus on the game as I was laughing my ass off.
"Oli!" Josh cried out and I dropped the console falling to the ground out of laughter.
The TV screen went black an big red letters formed the words 'GAME OVER'.
I met Josh's gaze that gave away something between disappointment and a good old shrug of 'well fuck - whatever'. I broke into another wave of laughter while Josh crossed his arms and looked at me with a disapproving smile.
"Unbelievable..." He muttered slowly shaking his head and I giggled.
"Joshua and Oliver!" We heard a voice. It was Josh's older sister. "School starts in half an hour and you're playing games in the basement?" She screamed from upstairs. "If you don't draw yourselves up here in 10 seconds I'm calling the parents."
"Oh shit." Josh whispered an jumped off of the couch running upstairs. I got off the floor and followed.
'The parents' was a term we used for mine and Josh's parents at once since we lived together now.
Ever since I can remember my parents would use every opportunity they'd get to go to London, so every summer, winter holidays and spring break they'd drag me an my younger brother Tom along with them from Sheffield to London. Also, mine and Josh's parents were best friends since high school, so I met Josh at a really young age. Even though we would see each other just during the breaks from school Josh and I developed a bond that was quite unbreakable. We would talk on the phone all day at home, text in school and skype at night. Even with the distance we practically grew up together. We were long distance best friends since I can remember and it was awesome in a way, but also quite hard. I missed him all the time and once we hit high school Josh became popular and although I knew he didn't just forget about me because he didn't pick up one of my phone calls, a part of me was always afraid of that though. I was everything but popular and outgoing, I was bullied even, and for years Josh was all I had. I was the complete opposite of my brother Tom who ruled our high school - that's why Tom hated when we had to move to London.
More then half of the house we were living in was ruined by a fire and our parents thought of that as a sign we had to get the fuck out of there and rush down to London.
Once they spoke to Josh's parents about that they informed us that they just moved into this huge mansion and that they wanted to ask us if we wanted to move in with them.
My parents were stoked of course, I was kinda happy because I'd be living in the same house with my best friend and Tom was pissed. However here we were three months later Josh and I having rooms across each other in the same hallway.
"We're here, what's the problem sis?" Josh looked at his sister.
"The problem is that you're not getting ready for school!" She said harshly eyeing me.
It was no secret that Elissa didn't like me and that Tom didn't like Josh. However those two seemed to get along very well. I mean, they did hate us and 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', right?
That's why there was a constant battle between Elissa and Tom and Josh and me. It was Team Fransykes against Team Telissa. It was pretty fun sometimes actually.
