Chapter 8

The moment I stepped into the school I knew something was wrong. But the moment I stepped into the cafeteria for lunch, I knew something was terribly wrong.

Not just by the looks I was getting from basically everyone, but the fact that Hannah was sitting at the table with Abigail and her friends.

She wasn't eating and she was just looking down to the floor while Abigail was tapping her on the back and her friends were all looking at Hannah sympathetically.

I ignored the looks I was getting questioning myself do I even want to know as I went over to the lunch lady who gave me my food.

I slowly made my way to Jordan's table swallowing the dead stares.

Jordan, Lee and Matt Nick all gave me the same questioning glare while Vegan didn't even raise his nose from whatever veggies he was eating.

I didn't say anything as I threw them a glance then got onto my food.

"So..." Jordan started.

"Did you?" Lee asked me.

"What?" I asked my mouth full.

"Leak the photo?" Lee continued.

"You're acting like I'm supposed to know what you're talking about." I said confused.

"These fools think that you leaked a topless photo of Hannah." Vegan said not throwing a glance to any of us as he crunched his veggies.

"That's what the whole school thinks." Jordan said.

"What?!" Now they had my attention. I shook my head in disbelief. "What?"

I didn't understand this.

"Apparently..." Vegan started again with zero interest in his voice. "At the party at Josh's you got her drunk and she stripped for you while you took pictures. You were supposed to have sex then, but you ran out of the room and leaked the pictures of her topless."

"What?!" I almost chocked. "That wasn't how it happened!"

"So something did happen then?" Jordan asked.

"No! Yes... I mean, no, but... Agh!" I cut myself off so I can try again. I could already feel my heart rate going up. "She got me drunk. Well, not really, but she tried. She was all over me then and she wanted to sleep with me, but I rejected her. There was no stripping and no pictures... and no leaking..."

"Whoa, chill. We believe you." Matt Nick said.

"Didn't seem like it before he showed up." Vegan clicked his tongue taking a spoonful of his veggies.

"Shut up Vegan!" Matt Nick told him and judging from the silent groan he let out Matt must've kicked him under the table.

The situation with Hannah then explained the dirty looks I was getting all day. And she's with Abigail now? What?

I could feel my heart rate going up more, but there was no chilling for me right now. This was beyond fucked up.

"Why would she say that?" I asked no one in particular my voice shaky.

"I don't know, you tell me. And if you didn't leak the picture, who did then?" Jordan told me.

"Why are you acting like you don't believe me?" I felt the panic slowly raising in me. "Why are you...? Jordan I didn't... I swear... I'd never... I... I... I don't know who did it... nor why she blamed me. You have to believe me."

This little crew were my only friends in this school besides Josh. I couldn't lose them.

"Hey, it's okay Oli. I believe you." Jordan said quickly. "I'm not blaming you. I'm just thinking out loud."
