Chapter 18

A/N: Okay, this is a long chapter whoops!😁😇

"Don't drink and we want you home by 2 am." Anne yelled after Josh and I as we were exiting our house.

"You have to get some sleep before your travel camp takes off tomorrow afternoon." My mom added.

"I promise, for the 9 millionth time, we'll be back till 2 am." Josh said.

"And we won't taste a drop of alcohol." I added.

"Okay, love you kids, have fun!" Our moms squealed at us as we finally closed the door behind us.

It was New Years Eve 10 pm and considering our travel camp that starts, well January 2nd, but we're counting today as the 1st already so that means it starts tomorrow - our moms didn't let Josh throw a party so we were gonna go out to celebrate New Years.

"Finally." Josh sighed then pulled me in for a quick kiss.

"You know, they could've still been watching." I said when he let me go.

"From the widows it could've looked like I kissed your cheek." Josh shrugged.

"You irresponsible fuck." I laughed and Josh just shrugged again smiling at me.

When we got out of our yard Josh got my hand as we headed towards the bus stop.

We were heading towards the Trafalgar Square.

That place was where all the good shit on New Years happens including the legendary fireworks that'll go off once midnight hits.

Josh and I got on the bus and in a matter of minutes we were already on our destination.

It was so crowded I actually felt a bit uncomfortable, but as long as I'm holding Josh's hand I'll be alright.

"There's nothing to be afraid of." He told me as we walked through the highly decorated streets flooded with people. "You're here with me, and you're gonna have fun."

I just smiled at him tightening my grip around his hand.

It was actually pretty nice too if I would ignore the amount of people around us.

The streets were decorated in all kinds of Christmas themed lights and shapes. The sky above us was a deep dark color, but all around us were these different kinds of lights and the two blended perfectly together.

I haven't exactly gone out for New Years before and this was all kinda new to me. I mean, I saw it on TV, but a screen was no match to the real thing.

"What are we gonna do till midnight?" I asked Josh knowing he wouldn't lead me out without a plan.

"So there's this huge building just a couple of streets away that has like literally everything in there. A cinema, a theater, a studio and oh did I mention a huge candy store."

"Candy store?" I felt a spark of excitement rush trough me.

Man, I was such a kid, but who doesn't love candy?

"And probably a lot more. We'll have to explore." Josh smiled at me and my stomach did a flip.
There was just something in his eyes that told me he had something more in store for us.

"Lead me there then." I said.

Josh fastened our pace and soon we were in front of a huge white building that was too decorated with all kinds of colorful lights.

When we came to the door there was a guy standing there. "Your IDs please." He said.

I looked at Josh confused, but he just reached out to the pocket of his jacket and handed the guy both his and my ID card.
