Melody Marconi

Blinking slowly I'm welcome by a blinding lighting, looking up I find a gray ceiling. My finger tips move slowly as they get the hang of the movement that has become foreign

"She has suffered from bulimia, depression and I do believe she had gotten into the habit of cutting herself" my cousin Dan told my mother she gasped at the new information.

"Aunt I'm sorry but I can't hide the fact she has suffered a traumatic experience thanks to her father" he told my mom in a serious voice annoyed obviously that she was defending my father yet again.

Closing my eye's slowly I hummed a song I remembered.

"I can't make you love me"

"Is___"

"She's awake! "

"Nurse!"

Opening my eyes slowly was painful as if I had been asleep for a year. My lungs felt dry and for some reason,  my stomach seemed a bit plushed. My legs were asleep and my skin pale.

"What happened? " I asked as I was blinded by white lights.

"Mel! " my mother said at my side with tears forming in her eyes. Looking at her I notice how pale and older she looked. She looked sick, she had a little hair and most of it was light as if dead.

Looking down I see that my bones were showing yet my stomach was a little big as if I never quiet eating.

"Mo__" I start but began coughing from a dry throat, quickly she rushed to hand me a cup of water. "Here dear please don't talk" she begged.

"Butt___" I start but she stops.

"But nothing Melody, please just rest" I nod at her understanding why she was begging me to keep still.

"I looked around the room and found many flowers here and there, some fresh and some at the edge of dying but something caught my eyes.

"Mom!" I say frightened.

"Honey please"

"What year are we in?" I asked panic, alarmed by the big teddy bear that said class of 2014.

"Honey calm down" my mother tried in an attempt to calm me down but it wasn't working.

"Mom how old am I?" I asked panic.

"Your eighteen going to be nineteen In a month" she told me with worried in her voice, my eyes turn wide, but that's when I notice how different my voice was how my body was more taller and my chest that wasn't flat no more.

"No I'm eleven" I start but even I didn't believe that, mom looked panic and alarmed. "Isn't Bennett the resin why we are here?" I asked scared.

"No hun you have been in___"

"Aunt" My cousin Dan starts but before I could comprehend what's going on and why everyone look so much older then they should but just then Bennett and my father walked in.
