I woke up this morning in Landon's bed, without him. I pouted when I felt his side of the bed empty. On his satin pillow was a note written on a sheet of folded paper. As I unfolded it and analyzed it, I discovered that Landon and Jered had important business to attend to and that Taylor was asleep in my room. I crawled out of bed and down the hall to my bathroom. I took a hot shower, then put on a gray, loose flowing tank top that just barley covered my butt and a pair of black leggings. I unbraided my hair and let it hang naturally. I tip toe down the hall and into my bedroom. "Taylor." I say poking her cheek. "What?" She mumbles into my pillow. "Get up." I order. "Why?" "Because we are going to the mall." I say catching her attention, she quickly springs up and rushes to the bathroom, to borrow some makeup and hair stuff probably. About fifteen minutes later, she comes out of the bathroom with her hair up in a messy bun and her makeup done. We each eat a bowl of cereal before we find Landon's car keys and borrow his car. "Why would he be running errands without a car?" I mumble to myself. "He'll tell you soon enough." Taylor responds, hearing me.

When we get to the mall, Taylor takes the lead. We go into about every store and buy something. I even got my hair curled at one of the kiosks. One we take a break, Taylor and I realize we have more bags than we can carry and we actually have to ask for help carrying them to the car.

A girl finally agrees to help us. She has a dirty blonde tint in her hair and she's wearing a tank top with a button up shirt around her waist. I show her to our car once we go outside. "So what's your name?" Taylor asks, as we stuff bags in the trunk and back seat. "I'm Ryann." She practically whispers. We tell her our names as we try to strike up a conversation, but its obvious that she is engulfed by shyness.

"Thanks so much!" Taylor and I say to the girl in unison. She doesn't respond as she walks to her car across from us. "We need to break her out of her nutshell." Taylor says as we drive off. I practically face palm as Taylor starts to complain about shy people. "We don't even know her and we're probably never going to see her again." I tell her, driving to her apartment to drop her off.

I go into her apartment for the first time, seeing her surprisingly big kitchen and living room. I help her put her bags down and I say goodbye. I drive home without using the GPS on my phone, considering it doesn't show up. I notice all of the wildlife while passing through the large forest to get home. When I get there, I step out of the car to see Landon waiting for me at the door. He runs to me and embraces me, kissing my forehead and running his hands through my hair. "Thank God, you're okay. I was so worried about you." He say, sounding relieved. "I was just at the mall." I laugh, trying to pull away. He held me tighter, almost squeezing my insides to pieces.

"Hey babe, can you let me go?" I mumble in his chest. He doesn't completely let go but enough for me to breathe. "So where were you?" I ask, filling my lungs. "Oh, uh, I had some work to do." He lies very obviously. "You're a bad liar." I tell him. I wouldn't get mad if he kept whatever it is a secret because everyone has to have secrets, right? I'm not particularly pushy about that kind of thing, but I hoped he would tell me eventually. He was sweating and his clothes were lightly stained with dirt which made me even more curious.

We walk into the house and Landon carries all my bags. He sat them in my bedroom before trying to make me put on a bathing suit and go to the pool. "You smell like wet dog already, why would you want to go to the pool?' I say harshly. He sniffed under his arm, realizing that he really did smell and headed for the bathroom without a single word. Whatever he had to do today wore him out, because after he took a shower he fell asleep on the bed.

I put on one of his big t-shirts and snuggled in with him. We were both fast asleep when he jumped up. "Oh my god." He whispered jumping out of bed. "What's wrong?" I mumble, straining to see him in the dark. "I have to go. I will back by the time the sun rises." He kisses my forehead. "Don't get into any trouble, Belle." He says before running out of the room.
