Some things in life can be learned with the help of others, but the true part of life is learning from no one other than yourself. And sometimes you have to take a risk that may seem like a bad idea then, but becomes a life-saving choice in the long run. Now, you may be asking, what does any of that have to do with me, Carmen Belle Ruth. You'll just have to read to find out.

The last day of school, the beginning of summer break, and the excitement of less responsibilities are all understandable reasons for a teenager to be ecstatic for summer. But you have to go deeper than that to find the true reason, why people of all ages enjoy holidays, days off work, leaving school early, and acquiring new items are all so enjoyable and must happen often in order for a person to be satisfied.

The reason these things are so appealing, the real reason that is, is a glorious little monster called change. The alteration of someone's schedule adds variety and excitement to their lives. There isn't anything to be aroused for that doesn't involve change. A new job: the changes in daily routine and household income. Christmas: The changes in school hours, weather, family fellowship and possessions. The list goes on and on infinitely until someone is strong enough to break it.
