"Finished." I sigh, wiping a bead of sweat from my forehead. I close the last cardboard box full of my possessions and seal it with brown tape. I pull a black magic marker from my pocket and scribble on the box, 'Carmen's Stuff'. Landon walks up the stairs, noticing the last of my things are out away and takes the box downstairs for me. With the room completely empty if felt so much bigger and the echo of my breathing bounced off the walls.

I looked around one last time before I leave the room behind Landon. The front door was wide open and a large truck was outside, with cardboard boxes all around. I knock on Jordan's door, and wait for a response. "Come in." He says as I immediately twist the knob and enter his empty bedroom. He sits on the floor stuffing his backpack with things. "I can't believe your leaving." I say, shoving my hands in my jean pocktes. He smiles a little and throws the bag on his back, sliding his arms into the straps. "I can't believe you're going to graduate this year." He says. I look down at my outfit and chuckle a little. I had grown alot over the summer, still rediculously smaller than most people, and thinner, but I had matured.

Fall was here and I couldn't say that I wasn't ready for this summer to be over. I wore a black sweatshirt and a pair of light blue jeans with black vans to top it off. I sigh and throw my recently dyed hair to one shoulder. Taylor convinced me to dye it dark brown and ditch the summer ombre, but I was glad it was my natural color again. Taylor had also convinced me to get a nose stud, but I pushed it off to my eighteenth birthday.

There was a moment of silence before I read Jordans mind and opened my arms for a hug. He recieved the message and walked toward me, and I fold my arms around his neck in a bear hug. "Jasmine isn't my only sister." Jordan says as he pulls away from me and we walk out of the room. I raise my eyebrows at him and twist a strand of hair around me finger while we walk down the stairs. "What was your other sisters name?" I ask him curiously, as Landon notices us. Jordan shrugs and Landon goes to close the truck door holding our belongings and furniture.

"We have to get going, I'm afraid." Landon interrupts. I turn to him, trying to hold back tears. Jordan hugs me one more time and then Landon squeezes him into a bone crushing hug. "Be safe." I say, my voice cracking. Jordan smiles weakly as he turns to walk towards the woods, to travel alone in a journey for his sister. "I will." He promises. I grab on to Landon and wad up his shirt in my fists as tightly as possible. He puts an arm around my waist, keeping my weak legs from letting me fall.

Finally, Landon and I hop into the front of the moving-truck and pull out of our circular driveway, leaving it behind forever. I roll down my window a bit for fresh air when I hear shouting. "Carmen!" Jordan yells, I look at him from the window as he stands at the start of the forest. "What?" I yell back. "My sister! Her name was Carmen. Carmen Ruth." He smiles and disappears in the trees as we drive away. I turn away from Landon as I let tears flow from my eyes, remembering every perfect memory of my last summer.
