I wake up, with Landon gone again, as usual attending to some Alpha duties. It's almost afternoon, and like normal, Jordan is out with the Jered doing some training since he was fairly new at this whole werewolf thing. I have been hanging out with Ryann a lot, trying to find out more about her. Taylor has been visiting her biological family for a few days and she said she'll be back by tomorrow. Poor Jered has been so sad without Taylor, that he barely comes over anymore.

I got a call from my dad, saying that they found a house and got the job. Summer was slowly starting to end as I realized that I would eventually have to leave my paradise. I pushed that thought to the back of my mind considering that things have changed between Landon and I. He's become much more protective over me, so I can't be around Jered or Jordan or any other guy without him. Whenever he's around, I can't sit anywhere else but his lap, and he consists on using PDA's which has gotten to be very embarrassing.

Landon's birthday is tomorrow and Ryann and I, have been racking our brains about what we should get him. Once I prepare to call her, I hear the doorbell ring. I flip my hair behind my shoulders and go downstairs to the door right before grabbing Landon's keys. "Hey Luna!" Ryann says as she walks inside. I quickly pull her outside and shut the door behind us. "We are not staying here today." I say through my teeth, gripping her arm and pretending to be mad. She laughs and pulls away, "Okay, okay we can go out." We walk to Landons car, thats parked in front of Ryann's in our big circular driveway.

My stomach rumbles noisily as Ryann gives me more suggestions on a gift. "How about we get some grub first?" I suggest. She looks to me and disappointedly agrees. I change route for a breakfast diner and we decide to go in and sit down. As we walk in, I noticed that I was already getting special looks from the other customers. Some people smile at me, while other people give me dirty looks. Technically, since I am Luna I should be a wolf, but since I'm human, Landon told me that I wouldn't get some peoples approval. Ryann and I find an empty booth and wait to be served. "What can I get the Luna and her companion on this fine day?" A male waiter says pulling out a notepad and a pen. We look at the menus for a while then I decide on getting pancakes, eggs and bacon with orange juice. Ryann getts an omlett and a small coffee and the man takes our menus.

I can actually hear people whispering about me from the booth behind us. "Can you believe alpha Landon's mate is a human?" Someone hissed behind me. I turn my head to her and stare directly at the back of her head. "Is there a problem with me being Luna?" I ask rudely. The woman turns to me, with a mouthful and stares me up and down. "No darling, I am simply having a conversation with my friend." She replies sarcastically. I double take at Ryann as she stares at me wide eyed, then I turn back to the old woman behind me. "Well ma'am, I can assure you that I will be a great Luna." I say giving a sarcastic smile. She simply turns around and goes back to eating her food. I roll my eyes and turn back to Ryann who is now uncomfortably shuffling around in her seat. I tuck my hair behind my ear as our waiter comes to bring us our food. He gives me my orange juice and my plate with a container of maple syrup on the side.

"Thanks." I tell him as he puts everything down. He smiles and walks away as we begin to chow down. I gulp down every bit of my food as Ryann does and we leave money on the table before we leave. When we get in the car, it's awfully quiet due to my frustration from the lady in the diner. I silently drive to a boutique and we silently look for gifts for my mate. We end up leaving with empty hands deciding that there was nothing that we wanted and we were extremley bored. We go into a few stores finding nothing of interest in any of them. When we get home, I see that the boys are home early, which is great considering today was a fluke. Ryann and I walk inside and plop onto the living room couch. Jordan follows Landon over to the couch and they sit with us. "Your day was bad too?" I say taking a deep breath. Jordan nods and Landon simply makes me get off the couch so that I had to sit on his lap. But instead of him giving me affection in front of Jordan and Ryann, I deliberately sit at his feet on the floor. There was an awkward silence as I could tell he was probably angry. "There were two rouges who tried to attack Jordan during his training, and Jered hasn't been very helpful lately so it was almost too much." Landon explains. "But I got them both!" Jordan gloats. We all laugh at him as he gives himself a high five.
