Chapter Eleven: The Meeting

••Katniss's POV••

When I wake I feel Peeta's arms around me. I can smell freshly baked bread, his scent. I open my eyes to find him smiling down at me.

"You're cute when you sleep." he says

I lean up and move my lips to his,"So are you." I say, my lips brushing his with every word. And right when we are about to kiss I get up, grin, and run out the door and down the stairs."

"Aww come on, Katniss!" I hear Peeta yell from upstairs.

I chuckle and start to make Cinnamon Rolls with brown sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on the frosting, Peeta's favorite.

••Peeta's POV••

I get dressed in an Orlando Magic jersey and Black basketball shorts. I smell cinnamon rolls coming from downstairs.

Mmmmm my favorite

I go downstairs and right as I reach the kitchen my phone rings. I look at the caller ID and it says Snow, Coriolanus. Oh shit. It's about the games. I forgot all about them.

"Who is it?" Katniss asks as she comes up to me.

"Principal Snow." I respond.

"You better answer it then. I'll serve breakfast while you're on the phone." She replies.

"Okay." I say as I hit answer on my Iphone.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hello, Mr. Mellark. I have called to inform you and Miss. Everdeen about a meeting for the tributes this afternoon at 2:15 sharp. Don't be late." Principal Snow says through the phone.

"Okay. I'll pass on the information." I hang up, sit down next to Katniss, and start to devour her delicious cinnamon rolls.

"What did he want?" She asks, he gray eyes full of concern and worry.

"There's a meeting for the tributes at 2:15." I reply.

"Oh." Katniss says and looks at her watch before continuing,"Well its 10:45 right now, so we have four and a half hours. What do you want to do?"

"Hmmm... How about some phencing Cato is a master and we need to find a way to defend ourselves." I respond.

"Good Idea. Let me get dressed I'll meet you down here in 15 minutes." She says as she gets up. Then she turns around and bolts up the stairs.
