••Katniss's POV••

"Dad! Run! Get out if here before it's too late!" I yell but he can't hear me. No one can.

I scream as I hear an explosion. "DAD! NOOOOOOO!" I start to cry as I stand there. Hopeless, unable to help as I watch my father get blown to bits in front of my eyes.

"Katniss!"

I'm now standing in front of a cave. I see a trail of blood and follow it into the cave. It comes to an abrupt stop. Drips of red are coming down from the ceiling. I look up and see Peeta hanging from the roof of the cave.

I scream and scream and scream and scream. Until eventually its reduced to crying.

"Katniss!" I feel someone shaking me.

"Katniss!"

My eyes snap open and beautiful ocean blue eyes are staring into mine. Before he can say anything I sit up right and hug him. I cry into his shoulder, shaking in fits of sobs.

He rubs my back whispers in my ear,"It's okay. It's okay."

"You were dead. You were dead!" I scream into his shoulder, still shaking.

"It's okay. I'm here now. It was just a dream. You're safe." He says, rubbing my shoulder.

And we stay like that until my sobs reduce. When my crying finally stops I pull away from, just enough to look into his eyes, "Peeta?" I ask.

"Mhm?" he says brushing strands of hair out if my face.

"I love you." I announce, leaning my head on his chest.

"I love you too." Peeta replies, resting his head on top of mine.

And we stay like that for a long time.

I hear Katniss's breathing get heavy and soon shes back asleep. I carefully get out from under her, get off the bed, and lie her head down on the pillow. Then I pull up a chair, sit down, hold her hand and rest my head on the

Seeing Katniss, so peaceful almost makes me forget that she was thrashing around screaming because of her nightmares. Being in the arena was obviously too much for her to handle. Seeing all of her friends get hurt, hurting each other and going crazy with those pitch black eyes. Having to hurt them also left an impact on her.

I kiss her hand. She's been through so much and has gotten so little. I kiss her softly on the lips and I feel her kissing me back. I must have woke her up.

"Alright Lovebirds." I hear a sarcastic voice say.

Katniss and I jump apart to see Finnick, Annie, and Johanna standing in the doorway.

"Gosh, guys, you scared us!" Katniss says, with her hand on her chest.

"Uh, you scared us too! When did that happen?" Finnick exclaims, while waggling his eyebrows and pointing his finger at us.

"Finnick! No joking around. We don't have time for that."Annie scolds him then takes a breath. "We know what happened to the others."

"What Happened!? Tell!" Katniss and I say in sync again.

"They really were meant for each other!" Finnick interrupts again.

"Finnick! Just Shut up!" Johanna half yells at him.

"Okay, so what happened to them!?" I respond. Getting the subject back on track.
