Katniss's POV

I look in my car mirror and try to pull the best confident face I can. It's not real after all, its just acting. I open my car door and start walking into school. Hmm i wonder if Clove, Cato, Marvel, and Glimmer will be back today. I push the school door open and walk to my locker, Peeta is already there at his locker.

"Peeta-" I start but Peeta turns away and runs down the hall strange. Very strange indeed.

"Okay then," I mumble to myself.

I grab my things and start walking down the hall towards homeroom. I slump down in the desk next to Annie to find Finnick staring at me with Anger.

"Finnick, what," I demand, "did I do!"

"It's not you, Katniss, it's him." He says pointing straight at Peeta.

"Well, what did he do?" I ask

"I'll wait for that foul git to tell you himself." Finnick kick backs his chair and storms out of the room just as the bell rings.

Annie looks up at me with a single tear in her eye, "I'm so sorry Katniss," she says and follows Finnick out of the room.

Okay, now I'm confused. I just want this over with already. If Peeta's gotta tell me something then he better do it soon. Normally I would be breaking down but this is not one of those moments. I wait outside the door for Peeta. When he comes I yank him aside. "Peeta out with it then!" I say.

"Ka-Katniss, um What?" He says.

"You know what I'm talking about! Spill Peeta!" I yell

"Um, well, the thing, the thing is, I, I, I, I um, just recently found out how Delly is right for me. She is the one I love not you."

I let go of his shirt.

She is the one I love, not you.

I feel my knees give out and, a I hit the ground hard, everything goes black.
