C hapter Fourteen: The Arena

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

••Katniss's POV••

Once I enter the arena everything is white from the minute of darkness I experienced coming up the tube. When mu vision clears I check out my surroundings. Behind me is all woods and in front of me is a pile of supplies with a lake behind it in the distance.

I check out the pile of non-deadly weapons and find a bow and a sheath if twelve hard rubber arrows.

Woods and a bow. It would be perfect if Peeta was here. WAIT! Peeta is here! Oh My God I need to find him!

I look around at the faces of my teammates until I spot Peeta. He notices me and shakes his head just as the gong rings signaling the start of the games.

The next thing I know he's gone and so is my bow.

••Peeta's POV••

I run away from Katniss when the gongs rings. I run toward the pile of stuff and pull out a hard, rubber sword. Then I meet up with Cato, Clove, Glimmer, and Marvel. We then set up camp.

An hour later we hear 11 cannons go off, marking that 13 tributes got beat up and pulled out. I look at the sky out of them Finnick and Annie are gone.

Thank God. Katniss is okay.

I hear a noise behind me, I turn around and see a boy, whom i forgot his name, charging at Cato. Cato, with one swing of his sword, knocked the kid out. A cannon sounded and his picture appeared in the sky.
