"So I'm guessing ice-skating isn't really your thing huh?" Ethan asked smirking at me a few feet away as I skated slowly towards him.

Apparently he was really good at this. He could twirl around like a goofy ballerina girl and everything.  He could skate backwards, as he was doing now attempting to teach me how to skate properly. At least that's how he said it. He said everyone in New York should at least know how to skate from one side to another in an ice skating rink, which I personally found outrageous. I was mostly sure that a seventy percent of the population in New York had no idea how to do that. Yet Ethan kept insisting on how he didn't care what I thought and that he was still going to teach me. He was really insisting, too much for my liking.

"Well if you can't already tell by the seven times I've fallen then I'm sure you realize it's not my thing when I fall for the eighth time." I said jokingly grabbing onto him almost falling...again.

"Well for your first time you are doing really well."

"It's not my first time ice-skating. I've done it before, it's just been really long since the last time I did."

"You are still really good."

"You know what? You are right"

"I was kidding Emma. I mean, you did fall seven times."

"I'm aware of that. I was pretty much there."

"The last time you fell backwards when you were completely still."

"I'm freaking talented." I said looking at him but he just stared at me like I was crazy. "Fine. Anyway, I think I'm done with my classes for today." I said chuckling tiredly to myself slowly skating towards the exit door.

"I actually expected you to fall over the two minutes you stepped into the rink. You lasted a lot less than that." Ethan said as he skated around me stopping me in my steps making me tumble back once again making me fall once again on my bum. I rolled my eyes not knowing why he had stopped me from going out but managed to let out a small chuckle as he helped me stand up. Why was this hard for me? Weren't you not supposed to forget anything you were once taught? Like if you learn how to ride a bicycle you are never going to forget how to ever again.

"Well now I know how high your expectations were of me." I said cleaning myself off before attempting to go out again but for some strange reason Ethan wouldn't budge.

"Well I've heard so much of you already. I could only hope good things from you. I can't let you leave until you show me what you are really made out of." Wait what. That stopped me from any attempts of getting out of the rink. I slowly looked at him before rolling my eyes knowing exactly what was happening.

"You're by brother's friend aren't you?"

"Yes ma'am, I guess Tyler has already told you about me." He said chuckling crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"I should have known."

"Why? I would only expect a girl as beautiful as you to get a bunch of guys running behind you every day."

"Well if you count Ryan over there then sure, whatever you say."

"So you've never had a boyfriend? That's rubbish" He asked strangely confused. If I haven't, would it be that hard to believe? I guess since he didn't know if I had a boyfriend before only meant Tyler hadn't really told him much about me. He probably just told him my name and that's it.
