So you may be wondering what a Marketing Manager does. Well if it's not that obvious, I manage market. I handle all aspects related to promoting and selling the product. So the bunch of papers on my desk, are actually other companies trying to convince us to promote our product for their own profit. Since it's my first day, I'm only in charge to check out which could actually be beneficial for the company and work in our advantage and picking them out. Them I have to write a small detailed paragraph on why should Concrete choose that offer and how will if help in our gain. Then I have to send it to the operation manager who will then send it to Mr. Strain.

I think. At least that's how it used to work on my job back at Georgia.

I gathered the papers I had chosen putting them into a presentable pile. I looked back at my computer sending hopefully well written informs taking in each offer, to the email address Tyler had given me earlier today. Once I made sure everything was send I took the papers in my arms walking to the elevator heading the twelfth floor.

As the door opened I started looking on top of the office door's for the number the receptionist had told me when I called. I then noticed two big doors just like Mr. Strain's one and looked up surprised, as the numbers resembled the ones I had written on the paper in my hand. I knocked lightly hearing a muffled voice from inside.

"Come in."

I slowly stepped in the office noticing how spacious it was. It was as twice as big as my office.

"Mr. Strain told me to bring this up once I was finished." I said nervously to the guy that sat in a big black chair with his back towards me. Apparently the big office with two doors was the big deal. I wondered if Tyler had an office like this.

"Ms. Montclaire right?" He said turning around.

"Emma? Your John's daughter?" He said as soon as his eyes met mine as they were immediately filled with surprise and worry. Or was it just me?

"Liam?" I said smiling lightly as the nerves I had felt earlier left my body making me feel a lot more confortable. Though there was still a bit of nervousness inside me. What was with everyone looking at me differently when they noticed I was Emma Montclaire. I was now really considering changing my last name, I thought to myself jokingly.

"So this is the job you were talking about? Concrete? Your dad's company?" He asked curiously. Something about how he said made my blood boil. So what if it's my dad's company. That doesn't mean anything at all. I got here because of what I do not because of who I am.

"What's so wrong with that?"

"Oh no nothing. It just took me by surprise, nothing wrong with that." He said coughing lightly correcting himself gaining a smile from my side.

"Right" I say rolling my eyes jokingly. "So about the papers." I said clearing my throat looking at him with a smile.

"Yes right. Here I'll give them a view after lunch and then I'll send them to Mr. Strain."  He said taking the papers in my hand placing them on top of his desk as he looked down at his wrist looking at the time.

"Our lunch break is in five minutes. Wanna accompany me to the cafeteria?" He said smiling lightly at me.

"They have pasta that's ten times better than the one you ate at the plane." He said smirking.

I couldn't help but nod laughing. After all, pasta was my favorite food. He smiled nodding back walking outside leading me to the where the cafeteria was. Tyler showed it to me last night, but I didn't really know where it was. I was the type of girl in school that the teacher would as what was our last lesson and I would answer: I don't even remember what I ate for lunch yesterday.

"So." Liam said looking at a bunch of guys and girls that were seated on the table we were now in. He seemed a bit nervous, why would that be? "This is Emma Montclaire." He said referring to me as everyone stiffened.

"Hey." I said shyly as the whole table felt silent.

"Sorry, they are just jealous because they didn't have such a successful father as yours. I'm Scarlett." She said breaking the awkward silence as she smiles invitingly.

"The guy over there which seems to have a never ending appetite stuffing his face with chicken sticks. That's Niall." She said chuckling making the table laugh with her as he raised his eyes from his food waving at me.

"By each of my side I have Ali and Katherine. Though if you call Kath by her complete name she won't answer so you should really just call her Kath." She said looking down at the girl to her right with dark hair and deep brown eyes, she just smirked back at her.

"The guy to your left, that's Matt he is caffeine addicted, but we all love him. Right Matty?" She continued winking at him jokingly.

"Next to him, is Louis he is-"

"I'm a charming single gentleman" He finished flirty looking at me emphasizing on the word single.

"Actually I was going to say an annoying flirting ass, but whatever floats your boat Lou." She corrected him.

"Liam, to your left, who you have already met." She said smiling at as she noticed something that was behind me smirking. "And lastly Harry, don't let the good looks fool you though, he can be a real moron at times." She said as I heard a light chuckling from behind.

How could Harry be so nice and then such an asshole a moment later?

"Harry I'm sure you've met Emma." He was sitting down and looked up his eyes staring into mine before grumbling.

"Ugh." He said getting up and was suddenly out of sight.

"What's with him today?" Niall asked with his mouth fool of food.

"I heard he got into some dip shit with Julian earlier. Apparently the argument was so harsh it could be heard from Liam's floor." Matt answered.

"What? I didn't hear anything." Liam said a questioning look in his face.

"That's because you have you have the two door office. Those are the only one that can be closed in all the building Mr. Important." Scar spoke jokingly at him.

"So Emma what do you think of Concrete by now?" I looked at the same ocean blue eyes that belonged to the flirty fellow a couple of seat to my left.

"Great. Everyone's been so nice, well except Harry, I don't really think he likes me."

"Well Harry's not one to open up easily. When he arrived to the company he sat every single day with your dad and Tyler. We always thought Harry was just a pet but gosh we were wrong." Scarlett explained.

"Cool off Scar, if Harry hears you saying that he'll have your head by the end of the day." Liam said chuckling.

"If you let me finish. Thank you." She rolled her eyes as she kept talking. "Then one day we noticed he wasn't sitting with you father and your brother but he was sitting by himself. Harry was never seen with them again. We never found out why the sudden change. Then two months or so after, when Julian took the company with your brother everything got worse. Harry would start illogical arguments with Julian, sometimes even with Tyler. We got to meet him, found out he's actually a really cool guy to hang out with, quite funny too. So since then he's been part of the group, just as you are now." She said as a smile appeared on my face.

We talked for another half an hour before our lunch break had already ended. I walked to my office thinking about what they had said. I didn't really know my dad knew Harry. I didn't know Tyler knew him either. I thought Harry was just some recent worker, like maybe a year or so working for the company but since he got to know my dad it seemed like he had been here for a lot longer.

I had heard a ton of names from my father's company; he would always come home mentioning two or three names. What seemed weird to me was how he could mention even the janitor's name and he never mentioned Harry's, the guy he supposedly sat with every single day.

What had happened between them? And why did they never mention him before?
