Work is an essential thing in life. An yet I've been at the building where I was supposed to do work and yet here I was doing everything but work.
I've been here in work for about four hours now and I've only worked for about half an hour. I've spend about three hours and a half talking with Scarlett and now I'm heading to my lunch break.
What a busy day.
"I thought I was the only one."
"Nope. Mr. Strain called for a meeting today after lunch. Everyone has to attend. Well, almost everyone." Scarlett explained as I sat next to her.
"Hey guys what are you talking about?"
"Company is reducing our payment with a three percent of what we normally earn.""That's not much, right? I mean three percent is nothing." Louis said completely relaxed.
"Actually that three percent is quiet relative. It depends on what you earn. Let's imagine you earn five hundred dollars every month."
"That's not much."
"I said let's imagine." I said looking at Louis, by my side, glaring. "So if you earn five hundred dollars every month and they reduce the three percent it would just mean they take away fifteen dollars from the total amount they would pay. This means you would be paid four hundred eighty-five dollars every month instead of the five hundred dollars you were paid before.""So? I still don't' get where you are trying to get at."
"Now let's imagine you are being paid a hundred million dollars every month. The three percent would mean three million dollars taken away from you."
"Wow."
"Yup. So it really depends on what you earn. That three percent will be different for everyone, since not everyone earns the same amount of money."
"I didn't know you were that good in math Emma." Louis stated smiling at me. "It's normally Liam who does all the math problems and stuff, since he's Operation Manager. Here I thought he was the only one who knew so much about math."
And right then was when I noticed Liam was nowhere to be seen and neither was Harry...or Niall.
"Where's Niall?" I asked looking around the cafeteria to see if he was around but he wasn't.
"Last time I saw him he was speaking with Teresa." Scarlett said eating a piece of her tacos smirking at me referring to the tacos. I just rolled my eyes at her.
Thank God. For a moment there I thought he was in the secret meetings in the fifteenth floor. It's not like I though the secret meetings were bad or evil or something like that, I just didn't want Niall getting involved in whatever they were tangled. I know Harry, Liam and Tyler were in the secret meetings and I know that any other person in this world would be pretty mad if there boyfriend didn't tell them what was happening instead of lying. Yet again I've never really asked Harry about it, or Liam or Tyler. So they haven't really lied to me. I guess I trusted them more than I realized. Once again, as I've said before, the secret meetings are something good, I'm sure.
"Oh look here he comes." Louis said making me turned around to find Niall walking towards us with Harry and Liam by his side. So he was either on the secret meetings too, or maybe they were just hanging out as the good friends they were. It's quiet obvious which one it is.
"Hey Emma." Harry said sitting besides me, on what is normally Liam's place kissing my neck lightly, probably smirking.
"Well hello to you too Harry." Scarlett said interrupting us smirking at me.
