"Ms. Thompson just called, she's going to be here in about an hour for the meeting." Teresa's kind voice rang through my ears.

"Thanks for informing me Tes I'll get ready. Please notify me when she arrives." I said hanging the phone as I organized everything for the conference I was about to have in less than an hour.

I hadn't really talked to Harry today; in fact I hadn't talked to him since Saturday. It seemed as if he was trying to avoid me. Was he?

A heavy silence settled over us, thicker then the uneasy tension in the atmosphere. The only thing that could be heard was my breathing and Harry's now calmer one. Harry was now sitting in the living's room sofa shifting uncomfortably in his seat. He tapped lightly by his side as if wanting me to sit with him.

I awkwardly walked towards him sitting besides him.

"Why did you forgive me?" He asked out of nowhere. I stayed silent. I didn't know what to say. I was wondering that myself.

"After everything I did and said why would forgive me?" He asked again insisting.

Believe me if I knew I would tell you Harry.

A few seconds later I saw he was still waiting for my response. So I told him what my father had always taught me, what my mom had always instilled in me since I was little, and what I had learned every single day since my life goes by.

"Because you are a human being Harry. You are allowed to feel too. And whatever made you hate me, must have been really significant because let's face it, I'm an amazing girl." I said teasingly trying to make him laugh, which strangely did.

I smiled down into my hands before placing a straight face, being completely honest and serious with every word that was about to leave my mouth.

"You can make mistakes, because that's the only way we move forward. Not a person on Earth is perfect, we trip, we fall, we say stuff, we have things we regret, but that's just what life is about and this things will never define who we are." I said looking into his green eyes.

"Well well, you are not as stupid as I thought." He said laughing making my smile turn around. "I'm joking Emma." He continued laughing making me laugh too.

"Thank you." He said after a few seconds of silence. I didn't seem to understand what he meant, he was looking down at his feet. "For forgiving me." He raised his head looking back at me. He seemed truly sorry.

"No need Harry, but you are welcome." I said smiling back.

Back to present day

The phone wouldn't stop ringing. "Hello?"

"Emma your meeting starts in one minute. Ms. Thompson is already waiting in the conference room in the fifth floor." I hear Teresa say worriedly, probably because I was already late to my first meeting since I got to Concrete.
