Brandon opened his eyes slowly. The morning sun shined in his eyes. Brandon slowly got out of bed. He yawned.
Brandon had a smell fill his nose. It was perfume. Strong perfume. Not the lady-like smell coming from Tsunade...no...it was a different smell. Brandon walked out to the kitchen.
"Hinata!" Brandon said.
Tsunade was sitting at the table with Hinata. Hinata shyly smiled at Brandon.
"Hey Brandon." Hinata said. She got up and walked over to Brandon. "Could I speak to you privately?"
Brandon and Hinata walked outside. Brandon closed the door.
"What was up with you yesterday? I've never seen you run like that." Hinata said.
Brandon sighed. "Hinata...I realized what I was doing after I told you I wasn't going to put you in that uncomfortable position. I'm really sorry for that, and running off. But... I'm really sorry."
Hinata smiled. "Well, firstly...your heart's in the right place. Secondly..." She put her hands on Brandon's shoulders. She moved close to Brandon. "I needed time to think." She said.
"Oh?" Brandon said.
"Yeah..." Hinata said. Her moved closer to Brandon's. she gently cupped Brandon's cheek with her hand.
Suddenly, Tsunade burst through the door. "Okay that's enough!" She yelled.
Hinata jumped back, startled. Brandon, though, jumped into the air and shrieked loudly.
"You come back another time, Hinata. Brandon and I have training today." Tsunade said.
Hinata awed. "Training? You, Brandon? With Lady Hokage?"
Tsunade smiled. "Why not? He is my son after all."
Hinata smiled. "Okay. See you later, Brandon. See you, Lady Hokage." Hinata said. She walked away, blushing and poking her fingers together coyly.
"Why was Hinata over here, Mom?" Brandon asked.
"Hinata had some information for me. She also stopped by to see you. Guess my instinct was right." Tsunade said, smiling.
Brandon smiled back. Tsunade locked the door and walked down the road. "C'mon Brandon! It's time for training!" She said.
Brandon followed her. They walked out of the gates of Konoha into the woods. Tsunade stopped in front of a clearing with a fair amount of trees.
"Training starts now." Tsunade said.
Brandon nodded.
"First...I want you to knock down that tree with nothing but your hands and what jutsus you know." She said.
Brandon approached the tree. It was large. It had a very wide base. And a huge top. Knocking it down would be difficult. But Brandon knew he could try.
Brandon punched the tree. He yelled in pain. "My hand!!!" He clutched his hand.
Tsunade watched closely. "That shouldn't hurt my son." She said.
Brandon breather in and out. He faced the tree again. He concentrated on the tree. His hands glowed with white light. His hands were no longer hands. They were massive blue claws, circulating wih energy. Brandon swung his claws with all his might at the tree. He sliced the tree just until it hit the middle. Then he got his hand stuck.
Tsunade was interested now. She had never seen that technique before. What did Brandon just do?
Brandon tried to move his hand foreword. It didn't move. Brandon growled. He tensed all his muscles into his arm. He yelled. His arm swung around him. Brandon tripped and fell. But not before cutting the tree down. The tree fell with a thud to the ground.
Tsunade was impressed now. "Brandon..." She said.
Brandon got up quickly. "Yeah, Mom?"
Tsunade smiled. "How did you turn your hands into claws?"
Brandon stared at his hands. They were no longer claws. They were his regular hands.
"I don't know, Tsunade. I just...focused my chakra into my fingers." Brandon said.
Tsunade nodded. "Cut down another tree." She said.
Brandon nodded. He did a few hand signs and sprayed his hand with fire, forming the Flaming Rasengan. Brandon dashed up to a tree and slammed his hand into it. His Rasengan expanded and expanded. It enveloped the bottom of the tree up to the tip of the leaves. The entire tree exploded with fire. Brandon flew back and skidded on the ground. The tree was gone, burnt to a crisp. The only thing that was there was the top of the tree with the leaves.
"Very good." Tsunade said. "I'm going to ask you to show me whatever other jutsus you've learned."
Brandon scratched the back of his head. "But I know a lot already..." He said.
"Just preform five." Tsunade said. "And your Flaming Rasengan doesn't count."
Brandon nodded. He did a couple of hand signals. He raised on of his hands. A giant hurricane came from his hand, sucking loose leaves into his wind vortex. Brandon lowered his hand. The vortex vanished. The leaves fell around Brandon.
Brandon then did a few more hand signals. Every leaf floating around him turned to ice. Tsunade was astonished.
But Brandon wasn't done yet. He did some hand signals, and conjured up a giant wall of fire. The wall of fire was thick, obviously nothing could go through that.
Brandon raised his hand. The wall of fire vanished, revealing two duplicates of Brandon.
The duplicates did hand signals, as did Brandon. Each of them blew smoke out of their mouth. The entire area was filled with smoke.
Just as Tsunade stared coughing, the smoke vanished. Brandon huffed and puffed. He just proved to Tsunade he could do wonders with jutsus.
"I'm very impressed, Brandon." Tsunade said, smiling.
Brandon chuckled. He started laughing. Tsunade started laughing.
The entire wood filled with their laughter. Brandon was filled with joy. It had been a long time since Brandon spent time with his Mom. He was glad he could do that again.
Tsunade and Brandon stopped laughing. They stared at each other, smiling.
"Alright, Brandon! Lets go! Keep going!" Tsunade said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brandon walked back into the village with Tsunade, bruised and battered. His scarf was, of course, completely fine.
"You did very good today, Brandon! I'm very proud of you!" Tsunade said. She rubbed Brandon's brown hair.
Brandon smiled. "Thanks, Mom. You taught me some neat stuff too!"
Tsunade smiled. "You're welcome! I'm especially impressed with your secret claw jutsu! I've never seen a justsu like that before!"
Brandon smiled. "It's nothing, really! It's easy to use!"
Tsunade smiled. She looked in a different direction. She walked toward that direction. Brandon followed.
"I have someone here that you should talk to, Brandon." Tsunade said. "He's wanted to talk to you for a while!"
Brandon looked where Tsunade was heading. She was heading towards the Ramen place. There, sitting down on a seat, was Jiraya. He looked at Brandon.
"Ah! Brandon! I've been meaning to speak to you for a while now!" Jiraya said.
Brandon looked at Jiraya. He looked like the man that he delivered the package to before he vanished!
