Brandon silently walked back into the village of the Hidden Leaf. Sandra was by his side, unsure of what was going on. She just followed Brandon, he obviously knew where he was going.

Brandon walked to the Hokage's mansion. He wondered what would happen when he told his mom Jiraya was dead. She would be far from impressed.

Brandon walked in, trying hard to contain his tears. He looked to see a frog on the table where Tsunade stood. Who was that?

"Hey, Mom." Brandon said. "I'd like you to meet Sandra, my friend."

Sandra smiled. "Pleased to meet you...wait a second. Mom?"

Tsunade smiled. "That's right. I'm his mother."

Brandon nodded. "I've got a lot to fill you in on. But more important things...I've got something to tell you, Tsunade. It's about Jiraya. He's-"

Tsunade sighed. "I know. Lord Fukasaku has told me. If you haven't noticed, that's the gentleman standing on my desk."

Lord Fukasaku (the frog) nodded. "I take it you were close to Jiraya-boy."

Brandon gulped. "He was my Sensei."

Fukasaku nodded. "I see. You have a fire in your eyes just like he did."

Brandon tried to acknowledge what Fukasaku just said, but he didn't speak. He turned around, and moved toward the door.

"See that my friend gets to my house okay, will you?" Brandon said silently, then he left.

Sandra stood there, confused. "I'm confused."

Tsunade sighed. "I'll have to fill you in on everything we know about Brandon, Sandra. Meanwhile, I'll have Sakura get Naruto, we have to tell him..."

Brandon sat in the clear field of grass, trying to think.

It had been hours since Brandon sat out here. Brandon couldn't be in the village. He didn't want the people to see him as a weak person. He wanted to be alone. Now, the sun was setting. It was getting late.

Brandon heard footsteps behind him. He saw Naruto walking towards him.

"Hey." Brandon said, trying to grin. It was rough to. He couldn't do it.

"Hey. You hear about Pervy-Sage?" Naruto asked.

"Yeah. I saw it happen." Brandon said.

"He was close to me as well." Naruto said.

"Yeah, I imagine. I don't get why Pervy-Sage had to die. He was a great person." Brandon said.

"Yeah. He was." Naruto said.

Brandon gulped, holding back tears. "You know? I never really had friends back home, Naruto. That all changed when I came here. You, Hinata, Sakura. You all are important to me."

Naruto nodded and looked at Brandon. "Did you...beast out?"

"I did." Brandon said. "Not something I'm proud of."

"I hope not." Naruto said.

"Naruto...I don't wanna be like this. Mourning someone's death constantly. It isn't right. I want to kick Pain's butt. Make sure Jiraya is avenged. Not be like this."

"But-" Naruto was about to say something, but he didn't have a chance.

"Naruto, death is a part of life. We're all dying, it's just not happening as quickly. We're alive now, but we're gonna get old and die sooner or later. But we have to live while we can, and not live it in vain. I know we were close to Jiraya, but I've pushed around too long. Now I get revenge. Now I fight back. Now I show people never to mess with Brandon!" Brandon said.
