---Jay's POV---
I stay seated at my desk as everyone else leaves. Our day was extremely uneventful so everyone is eager to leave. I log off of my computer and then get up and knock on the door of Voight's office. He motions for me to come in so I close the door behind me and take a seat. He sets down his papers and then says, "You obviously need something."
I nod and say, "Lately there has been some increased interest between Evelyn and I..." Voight grunts at that statement but then I continue.
"I wanted to make sure that it was alright with you before we started dating. I know that you don't normally allow relationships in intelligence but I think we can make it work. We won't want to become partners at work and we can keep it professional."
Voight thinks for a moment and then says, "Alright, I will allow this but only on two conditions."
I heave a sigh of relief and then say, "Name them."
"At work your relationship must remain professional at all times. This is not a place to flirt or make advances on each other. That kind of horseplay will get someone killed. Lastly, if things go sideways or if I think it would be in the best interests of the unit, one of you will be moved elsewhere and I will decide who that is. As long as you two can live with that, I can live with a relationship."
I nod and thank Voight. I then exit his office and go to the locker room. When I arrive I see Evelyn sitting on the bench in front of my locker. She stands and then asks, "Are you still up for kickboxing tonight?"
I smile at her and say, "Actually, I have two tickets for the Blackhawks game tonight if you're interested."
Evelyn agrees happily so I grab my things and we go down to my car. We then begin the drive to the United Centre.
