THIRTY-NINE
Kai had spend the time after the dream contacting all the dracan on this realm. Tim had explained to Ravin, the Brotherhood, and the vampyre's about the dream. They'd all looked at Vivian when he'd finished. Clearly wondering whether she would help wake Ashley before they went. If they went.
During the past week, Vivian had visited Ashley with Dee and Kave. To see whether she would be able to touch Ashley again. Even though she knew nothing would happen when she touched Ashley, Vivian had felt reluctant. And so, the others were being patient. But Vivian knew she'd have to make her mind up soon because Damon was walking around with a dazed worried look in his eyes, and Spirit had started to watch him like a hawk. And Vivian knew that Spirit had ordered Sparrow to stick to Damon's side for more than just the riddle.
A couple of days after Kai's first phone call out, a clan – not a family apparently – of dracan had arrived. And Vivian had learnt that it was true that only the Elite clans that had the extra circle around their eyes – the Dager's was white, hers as a White was an electric blue. She had to admit, her eyes were pretty awesome after having a boring, disgusting brown for the past decade and then some of her life.
The first clan to arrive was the Kinena clan that had settled in the USA. There were only two of them, and both males were identical. Both had luscious golden hair that a girl could only dream about. Their eyes were a dark, honey yellow. They were an inch taller than Tim who'd welcomed them to the Vayre hotel where they were all staying since Galina's message. Originally, they were just going to stay here until she help wake Ashley. Looking at the golden pair, Dee told her that they were the eldest dracan on this realm at seven-hundred-and-seventy-two years old, yet they only looked to be thirty. And, Vivian had also realised that the nice exterior was it. Inside, they were stuck up like little rich kids.
The second clan to arrive was the largest after the Dager's. The Silverhook clan. Also from the USA. Ethan was the eldest at six-hundred-and-one, and had short silver hair and molten silver eyes with the dracan slit-like pupil, he stood at six-one. His mate, Nikki, however stood at six-three, and had a bob styled silver mane with the same colour eyes as her mate. Apparently she was only a few decades into five-hundred. It made Vivian feel like a child.
The Silverhook's children were Tain, Asak, and Kamay. Tain and Asak had hair that was a blue-grey with flecks of silver like a spider web. Kamay's hair was more blue than grey. Dee told her it spoke of their age. Kamay may look to be the same age as her parents and siblings, but she was the youngest at thirty-five.
The last two clans from the USA arrived together. The River and Blod clan. The Blod clan had been one of the clans that had moved from Suresha's territory into Ravin's after Suresha had threatened them years back.
The River clan contained three dracan: Blaze with dark blue hair and smooth, glossy blue eyes; Skye with light blue hair and eyes of her mates; and Erath was apparently the age he appeared with electric blue spiked hair.
In the Blod clan there was Kyean and Anyeshka. Kyean had grey, crimson streaked hair, and his eyes were grey with shattered crimson. His mate's eyes and hair were of the same ruby red.
Then it was only yesterday that the final clan had arrived. And Vivian wished they almost hadn't. Because they were nightmares. Zarake and Shashi Shadowpaw had glossy black, shoulder length hair and their eyes were a soulless black. And their height was actually fairly intimidating when you put it all together as they were a foot taller than her. And their were two of them. They'd told her when they first arrived that they wouldn't harm her. But, Vivian wasn't sure. She could see nothing in their eyes. And they must have realised that they hadn't soothed her fears because they'd asked for a room at the very top of the hotel and and far as they could get from the room where she stayed with Dee. Vivian felt bad when she'd heard. But she was thankful. Funny thing was, apparently they and her parents had been best of friends. Yeah, okay. Sure. But Vivian had seen enough soulless eyes that hadn't turned out nice. Suresha was example number one. But, at the same time, her instincts told her that the twins could be trusted.
