       I walked passed my bedroom when I heard a guitar and someone singing quietly while playing.

       Y/n pushed a strand of silver hair out of her silver eyes when she finished.

       "Looks like your time listening to music paid off," I said causing her to jump.

       "Please don't do that, Dad," Y/n said with a small laugh.

         I smiled and walked over to her, I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and she leaned into my side.

        "How's school?" I asked

         "Fine, kids are still trying to get me to pull the glasses off," said Y/n

         "Did they do it?" I asked

          "No, every time they try, a teacher is always there," Y/n said, she rested her chin on my shoulder.

          I kissed the top of her head and sighed, "I wanna go home," I just looked at her in shock.

          "Y/n, we are home," I said

          "It's not home for me," said Y/n

          "I wanna go home, I want to see my friends, I want to be normal teenager," Y/n said

          "I can't do that while I'm here," I kissed her forehead and held her close

         "I'm sorry, Y/n, it's not safe for you to go home alone," I said softly

          "It's not safe," Y/n sighed and leaned against my chest

          "We'll go home soon, just......... not now," Y/n sighed again.

           "Alright," Y/n said softly.

           "Captain Atom, you are needed," I heard J'onn over the PA

          "I'll be right there," I said, I let Y/n go, she looked hurt.

          "I'll be back soon," I said and left.

Y/n's pov

       I plopped myself on Dad's bed and laid down, he's never here anymore, and........... I miss him.......... I really do. The League is fun and cool and all, but I miss home. I heard knocking on the door.

       "It's open," I said, the door opened and Flash came in.

       "Hey kid," Flash greeted me

       "Hey Flash," I greeted him back

       "Wanna hang out?" "Aren't we already doing it?" Flash smiled

       Flash and I do this often whenever Dad isn't around. Flash listens to the music I play and comments what sounds good and what doesn't, most people will be offended when someone says something is, bad but it actually helps me a lot. I consider Flash as a second father I guess.

Captain Atom's pov

       When I returned, I saw Flash coming out of my room making me frown.

       "What are you doing?" I asked him

       "Just finished hanging out with Y/n," said Flash

      "Why?" I asked

       "Did you actually think she'll be okay being alone?" Flash asked

        "Of course she'll be looking for company,"

         "She misses you, a lot," said Flash

          "She's asleep by the way," Flash added before taking off.

         I entered my room to see Y/n tucked into bed, I ran my fingers through her hair gently and smoothed it out, she shifted a bit. I sighed and climbed into bed with her.

                             *time skip*

       When morning came around, I told J'onn I'm off the rooster list for a bit, I wanted to spend some time with Y/n. I found her talking to Flash while eating breakfast.

        "Hey," I greeted her

        "Hi," she greeted back, I sat down next to her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder

        "I thought you had a mission today, Captain," said Flash

         "Decided to stay so I can spend the day with Y/n," I said holding Y/n close

          "Really?" Y/n asked

           "Really," I said kissing her forehead.
