I just did an intense skate move on the railing, my phone started ringing, and I picked it up. "¿Hola?" (hello?) I said "Y/n? ¿Dónde estás? Estoy tan preocupado por ti," (Y/n? Where are you? I'm so worried about you) said Mama "Relájate mamá, voy a volver a casa pronto," (relax, Mom, I'm coming home soon) I said, I got off the board, and picked up my board, "Jamie y yo nos vamos a reunir en el café y luego me acompañará a casa," (Jamie, and I are going to meet up at the cafe, and then he's going to walk me home) I said, I placed my phone on my shoulder with my ear pressed to the phone, "¿Estás seguro?" (are you sure?) Asked Mom "Sí, mamá, estoy seguro," (yes, Mom, I'm sure) I said "te veo en casa." (see you at home) I said, and I hung up.

I was almost out of the warehouse when I heard glass shattering making me jump. I saw Blue Beetle, he spotted me, "run!" He ordered, I placed the board down, and took off riding.

I managed to make it back to town in one piece, my heart is still pounding in my chest though, I sighed, and made my way to the cafe Jamie, and I are going to meet. I waited for a bit only for Jamie to never show up making me frown, I pulled out my phone, and texted him.

Me:I hope you didn't forget meeting at the cafe, Jamie

I waited for at least fifteen minutes.

Me:Jamie?

I waited again

Me:Jamie, this isn't funny

Me:Jamie!

I quickly got onto my board, and hurried to his place. I banged on the door, Jamie's mother, Bianca, opened the door, "Y/n, por favor, tenga cuidado en cómo alto usted sabe en la puerta," (Y/n, please, do be careful on how loudly you know on the door) said Bianca "Perdóname, Bianca, pero ¿está Jamie aquí?" (forgive me, Bianca, but is Jamie here?) I asked "Jamie? ¿No iba a encontrarte en el café?" (Jamie? Wasn't he supposed to meet you at the cafe?) asked Bianca "Le envié un mensaje de texto, pero él no respondió," (I texted him, but he didn't respond) I said "how strange," Bianca murmured "yeah," I agreed "perhaps he'll drop by later on," said Bianca "you're welcome to stay," "my mother is expecting me to come home soon," I said "thank you though," I said "adios, Y/n." Said Bianca "adios." I said.

I reached home, Mama was rather relieved when I came in, she gave me a lecture about coming home a bit earlier than I did now making me roll my eyes. I ate dinner, and headed upstairs to start my homework. I heard my phone vibrating once, then twice. I picked it up to see texts from Jamie.

Jamie:where are you, amo(love)?

Jamie:pls tell me you didn't just ditch me

Me:excuse me? You're the one who ditched!

Jamie:I got held up okay, amo(love)

Me:Jamie, I really was hoping for this

Jamie:I know

Jamie:I promise I'll make it up okay?

Me:really? Or are you just going to ditch that date too?

Jamie:look, something came up, and I had to deal with it okay?

Me:I just want to spend time with you, Jamie, and not you just leaving me hanging like that

Jamie:I know, love, I really do

Me:promise you'll stay with me the next we go on a date?

Jamie:promise

Me:are you sure?

Jamie:Y/n

Me:okay, okay, goodnight, Jamie

Jamie:goodnight, love
