Chapter 13: Moon Godess
The meadow was green and the water looked like silver. In the middle of the meadow a woman stood with her hair in the color of silver and her dress was white as snow. She smiled at me. I walked to her, not knowing really why. When I stood in front of her, her frame easily towering me, she had her whole body turned to me.
Her hair was braided with silver and hung down her back. "Do you know why you're here, Calandria?" The woman asked. I looked behind me, but it was only the two of us.
"My name is Melody." The woman, who I still didn't knew who was, shook her head. This is utterly confusing.
"You were named Calandria when you were born, but your mother wouldn't let you have that name, since she wanted you to be a human, and made a different name for you. It was only fake, but she didn't want it any different."
I stared at the woman. I'm sure this wasn't true.
"Who exactly are you?" I asked her, narrowing my eyes. She serenely wasn't human or mortal. The woman smiled.
"I'm the moon goddess, mother of werewolves," she answered. I wanted to laugh, but I heard the seriousness in her tone, so I didn't.
"You may have heard of me as Artemis, like the Greeks call me," she said. I nodded. I knew about Artemis, she was the moon goddess and goddess for animal, bow and arrow and hunting.
"Why are you here?" I asked. She sighed. Suddenly her eyes shone a bright color.
"Go back to where you belong, find the house with the old curse, you will find the answers, and fight the curiosity."
It was what I got before she disappeared into thin air. The rest of the meadow began fading as I drifted away.
I woke up on soft grass. I opened my eyes and I bolted right up. I was in the same meadow as in my dream, but the water looked like ordinal water. I'm pretty sure I wasn't here last night. I stood up and I remembered what the moon goddess said. I didn't know what way was home.
I just began walking I a random way. I got lost after five minutes, but couldn't find the way back to the meadow.
"Help!" I yelled. Hoping somewhere it was someone who would help me or even hear me. I doubted that, but it was shot a try. I never heard anything, so I just kept walking randomly.
I began humming some tones, just so I could entertain myself. I heard a branch knack and turned around, growling. A man came out of the dark forest; I didn't see him stand there in the first place.
"Who're you?" I called out. I couldn't see his face since he had a hood over it.
The man chuckled, but didn't say anything. I started to get scared. That man was really scary.
"I can't believe you don't recognize your own brother," the man said and stepped out into the light. He looked so much like me and he was about my age. The only thing I noticed was the mischievous glint in his eyes.
"W-what are you talking about?" I stammered. "I don't have a brother!"
He stepped closer and I just stepped backwards. He couldn't be my brother, I didn't have one. I'm pretty sure about that, but my mom hid the fact that I was a werewolf.
"I'm Clark, Calandria," he said. The guy was now in my face and I could see he had the same brown eyes as me and the same blonde hair. I stared at him, not wanting to believe this, how could he look so much like me?
"My name is Melody not Calandrie or something!" I yelled. He took a step back and I sank together. I'm in the forest no knowing where I am, and some dude is following me.
I brought my knees up to my chest and put my arms around them. That's when the tears fell. They fell uncontrolled down my cheeks and I felt like I was going to die. I would never get out of this forest and never see Cole again.
I cried harder when I realized I couldn't see Cole longer and that maybe he have already moved on. I couldn't believe it, no I wouldn't believe it. Cole was like Daniel, but treat me better.
Two strong arms wrapped themselves around me and lifted me up. I saw it was Mark. He carried me through the forest and when I saw a house, my cries went silent.
I knew that house; it looked like something I had seen before. I looked at Mark with an eyebrow raised. He shrugged and carried me inside.
"Oh my god! What happened to her?" I knew that voice everywhere. I opened one eye and saw her standing above me with a worry facial expression.
"Clarissa?" I asked. She smiled at me. Clark was confused; maybe he didn't know it was her I moved to. How could he? He only met me a few hours or minutes ago.
"I'm going to call Cole, he's worried sick," Clarissa said. "Her father too." She rushed into the hallway and I heard her talk to someone. I was sat down in the couch and laid down myself after.
The door banged open, but I didn't flinch because I was too tired. A worried Cole stood in the doorway with my dad behind him. I smiled a weak smile.
"Milly? Are you okay? What happened? Why did you leave?" he asked and sat beside me so our eyes were enchanted in each other.
"I'm tired." I said and it was the only thing I could get out of my mouth. He nodded and carried me to bed. He tucked me in the duvets, but they were not warm like they used to.
It missed one thing.
"Stay," I crocked at him. I could see his smirk, but I wanted his warmth. He lay down beside me and I snuggled closer to him. He took an arm around my waist and scooted me closer to him, our legs was tangled.
I fell asleep with a smile, like last night. But this time I hope I don't dream anything weird and wake up at that place. I need to ask him about that woman I saw in my dream.
