Chapter 17: Alpha Kyle
I looked up at the mansion in awe. It was wooden and I liked it better then where my father lived at. This was cozier and gave me a more feeling of being home.
I felt eyes on me and turned my head to see that Kyle was staring at me. I got this warm feeling inside of me, like I only did with Cole.
"What?" I laughed. He smiled at me and shook his head, signaling that it was nothing to care about. I shrugged my shoulders and looked back up at the building.
It was three stories and had a balcony at the third floor with glass doors behind. Kyle saw were my eyes where and chuckled.
"That's my room, you know," he said to me and pointed at the balcony. I looked at him and stared with my mouth open.
"Close your mouth, kitten, there are flies here," he laughed. I closed my mouth in embarrassment at what he said. He only laughed at me; his laugh was open me up and feel free.
"How do you know I'm not a threat?" I asked, since he seemed to trust me since the beginning.
He smirked. "I saw your mark."
I gulped and nodded. I should be better at covering that up. But I understood there that The Moon Luna was something everyone knew who she was or what to look for.
"Oh," I said. He laughed and let an arm around my shoulder. I felt safe, warm and I could swear it was small tingles between us.
We walked into the house and I felt eyes on me as we walked. It was like that with Dad's Pack, but this was more welcoming. I smiled a little at Kyle while he moved me closer to him. He was tall, taller than Cole. I think he was around 6'3 and he had such blue eyes.
He showed me a bedroom where I would be sleeping. I nodded and took it in. The king-sized bed was in the middle and beside it was a large window. The walls were white, so it gave you open space, on the sides was it two doors on each side. One door I guess was the bathroom; I walked over to one and opened to see a walk-in closet. I gasped. I have a walk-in closet! I walked to the other door and opened to see a very big bathroom. I smiled and turned towards Kyle who was leaning on the door with his arms crosses over his chest.
"Do you like it?" He asked, maybe a little nervous that I didn't like it. I nodded my head like crazy.
"I love it," I said breathless. The whole room was overwhelming.
"My room is just over the hallway if you need anything," he said. I nodded to say thank you. "We need to talk later, meet me at my office after dinner."
He walked out and I was left here to still adore my new room. Wait, did he know I was coming? No he couldn't, I escaped hours ago before he found me. I wonder if Cole know I escaped and possible have feelings for another than my mate. But if Cole was my mate, he wouldn't have had sex with Rita and the mark would have been there. I even saw that Cole was The Moon Alpha. Still, I'm not so sure about that yet.
I walked towards the window that I saw had a small balcony, I smiled and stepped out. I've always preferred the night before the day, I like how alive the moon and the stars are and how beautiful it is. My eyes glided over the sky and I saw everything. All I wanted was to reach out and touch them, but they're balls of fire and gas.
I them shifted my gaze to the forest and it was more welcoming then the forest at "home". A knock on the door got me out of my trance. I opened the door and I saw a little girl in a yellow summer dress standing in front of the door.
"How can I help you sweetie?" I asked her. She giggled and took a hand over her little pink lips.
"Brother says the food will be ready in five minutes," she said before dashing down the stairs. I laughed at the little girl and then took in my clothes; I just had a t-shirt on. I walked to the closet and opened the door. It was many clothes, but I went for black skinny jeans and a knitted sweater. I took on some flats before braiding my hair. I quickly went downstairs to eat.
I looked around and saw that everyone was walking towards a dining room, I quickly followed after them. When I got inside my mouth hang open because it was four tables to held one hundred wolves each.
"Melody!" Kyle called from his seat at the end of a table. I quickly went to them and sat down where Kyle patted.
"Hi," I said, as you may know. I'm not much of a talker. Kyle smirked at the little words I used. I quickly glared at him and he held his hand up in surrender while laughing. A middle aged woman was staring at us and I felt a little uncomfortable under her gaze. When I looked at her she looked young, but I could see past the make-up she used. Kyle saw who I was looking at and coughed. Our heads turned to him; he smirked to himself over the attention he got so quickly.
"Mom this is Melody," Kyle pointed at me. My cheeks got warm and I'm sure I blushed; I was staring down his mother. "Melody, this is my Mom." I nodded and the woman extended her hand I took it. She relaxed and smiled at me, the only thing I could think of was to smile so I smiled back.
"You keep her," his mother said. I looked her wide eyed and I could see a small blush on Kyle's face. I laughed at how embarrassing his mother was to him. He saw me laughing and threw a broccoli at my face, unfortunately it hit me on the nose and he burst out laughing at my shocked face. I took up mine hand threw it at him; it hit him millimeters away from his eye. I laughed at him. He was about to throw another one when his mother took a hold of his hand. She let go when she sat down.
"Save the energy to the bedroom," she said and my mouth fell open while I must be scarlet red in my whole face. Did she just say what I think she said? Kyle looked at his mother in pure shock and he looked a little scared of her.
We exchanged glances and thought the same thing. We both smirked and took each a broccoli and aimed at his mother who talked to a man I guess is Kyle's father. We counted to three in silent before we threw them at his mother. We burst out laughing at her face. His father looked almost as shocked as his mother, almost. We couldn't stop laughing at them before Kyle got a slap in the head from his mother.
We got silent and I looked a t his father who also looked at me. The problem with me was that I find serious and silent times very funny. I could soon not hold in my laugh anymore, Kyle saw this and rose up. I also saw that the other wolves went out and even if they looked weird at us, they respected their Alpha. Kyle took my arm and pulled me with him. I followed and we began laughing as soon as we got into the living room. I saw all the wolves go different ways, some stayed and others went out.
He dragged me up to his room and we collapsed at his bed out of breath.
"Do you have a mate?" He asked seriously. I could also see it in his eyes that he meant what he was going to say. But his question was something I don't know.
"I'm not sure, I thought I found him. Then after I tell something to him that he thought was against him, he slept with my "best friend"," I answered as best as I could. "But I didn't feel that he had sex, so I'm not so sure. Then I met you and I get all this mixed signals." Kyle looked quiet shocked at what I told him. I would react the same way.
Then a white light filled his room and a woman that I was to familiar with stood in front of us.
"Melody Collin," she turned towards me. "Kyle Black." This time she looked at Kyle and he looked scared out of life.
"I have something to tell."
