Chapter 18: Right Mate
Kyle and I stared at the woman in front of us. She looked like she had in my dream. Her hair braided in silver and her dress was a pure silver color.
"The moon goddess," Kyle said and stared at the woman in awe. I quickly took him in and now I saw that he was polar opposite then Cole, but better or hotter than he ever was. The moon goddess saw this and winked at me, me being the girl I am blushed and looked away from Kyle.
"Yes, Kyle," she said and he looked startled for a second. I almost laughed because he was so "though" all the time.
"But I need to tell you two something very important," she said sternly. We nodded our heads.
"When fate chose mates, it chose the people who fit best together. Once it made it wrong. A little girl was born and she got given a wrong mate, while her real mate didn't get any mate at all. He was mate less. He wouldn't get his mate because she had been given a wrong one. The girl met her mate when she was seventeen and the he understood who she was and tried to trick her to think he was the other one of the prophecy. He only wanted power, she then walk in on him sleeping with her best friend and her world got more crushed down then it was before.
"She escapes and ended up in the arms of a stranger she feels something about. The boy lives his life as the son of an Alpha, when he turned eighteen he got the Alpha role from his father. He lived to believe he would never meet his mate, until she magically turned up and made his life full of joy." When she was finished we were speechless. She smiled and turned to us.
"You know whom I'm talking about," she said before vanishing through thin air. I sat there before I got the pieces together, when I got the answer I gasped.
Kyle looked curiously at me. "It's us," I said. It looked like he got it when I said it and turned to look at me with sadness in his eyes. Kyle opened his arms and I craved closer to him. He made me feel safer than Cole ever did. Kyle was my mate.
Mate.
A word I never thought I would ever say, at least not to two different guys. I felt myself being very tired so I leaned my head on Kyle's chest before my eyelids closed and I fell asleep to the sound of Kyle's heartbeats.
"Melody," a voice whispered in my ear. I mumbled something and I heard laugher in the room that made me smile at once. "Need to wake up, sleeping beauty." I smiled at the comment. I turned and opened one eye and saw a smiling Kyle was leaned over me.
I yawned and sat up. Kyle burst out laughing and I furrowed my eyebrows. He couldn't stop laughing so he pointed to my hair, I knew immediately what was wrong and ran into the bathroom I apparently knew was where it was and looked at myself in the mirror. I screamed, my hair had never been this bad before. You have seen yourself when you have been sleeping, yeah, multiple that with ten then you have what my hair looked like right then.
When I got back, Kyle was still on his bed laughing at my hair. I growled at him and tried to find a brush, so I could at least try to make it look a little better than it was. I found one and went back to the bathroom. After some attempts, I let out a furious sigh. Kyle walked in and when he saw me he smirked.
"Problems kitten?" He smirked at my furious face. I nodded at him.
"Sit down," he ordered. I did as he told me. He took up the brush and began brushing my tips. After he was finished with that he moved longer and longer up. It felt nice and he was so gentle with me.
After he was finished he started to feel on my neck. I felt sparks fly from his fingertips into my body, it felt so good. I stood up and turned around so I was face to face with Kyle. I felt dizzy, but I couldn't stop staring into those blue eyes.
A knock on the door interrupted us. Kyle sighed, but opened the door. A young woman, around her twenties, stood in front of his door smirking at him.
"What do you want Kaela?" Kyle asked the woman, he was very annoyed after what I could see. She smirked, but then her eyes were on me. She was a little shocked then walked past Kyle and against me. I gulped. She was gorgeous, with her blonde wavy hair and ocean blue eyes. She reminded me a little bit of Kyle.
"Who's this?" she smiled. I'm still very shy and didn't meet her gaze. The woman looked disappointed, but quickly regained her formal form.
"Yeah, um, it's a call for you in your office," Kaela said to Kyle before disappearing into the hallway again.
"I'm sorry for my sister's behavior," Kyle sighed. His sister? He had a sister. I stared at him with my eyes wide. He chuckled at my reaction.
"Yes, I have two," he said, like answering my question that I had inside my head. I nodded, not asking more. His sister said he had a call to take.
"You can come," he said kindly. I smiled and followed after him. We walked down one floor and then he turned so many times I was lost, but Kyle still kept on walking. After a few minutes we reached a door that had Alpha Black written on it.
Kyle walked in and moved to his desk. I sat down on the couch on the side, while looking around on the photos in the room. I see Kyle as little grinning at the photos. It's so adorable. I see one with their whole family. It was his mother, father, Kaela and a little girl I'm sure I've seen before.
"Yeah, okay. I'm calling you back. Okay, yeah. . . bye." I heard Kyle hang up and turned my attention towards him, he was pale and looked at me with worry. I walked to him and hugged him from behind.
"What is it?" I asked him. He drew circles on my hand and I felt myself relax more.
"A guy named Cole Robber called," he said. My body froze, Cole called Kyle. My blood was cold and my heart was beating fast in my chest.
"He wanted his mate back, a girl named Melody Collin," he said. He turned to look at me. I felt tears threatening to come out, but Kyle sat me on his lap and comforted me.
"He wants you," Kyle mumbled. I nodded sadly. Kyle tightened his grip on me, but not that it hurt.
"I will protect you, kitten," he whispered into my ear. I believed him with everything in my body.
