Chapter 5: Cole is really nice
I was about to go out of my room, when my phone rang. I looked down and saw it was mom; my real mom, the one that banded me.
"Hallo? [Hello]" I asked. I talk Norwegian to her, because she isn't that great in English.
"Hei, vennen, jeg lurer på hvordan du har det [Hey honey, I was wondering how you are doing]" mom asked. I rolled my eyes. Can she be dumber? "Mor, du vet hvordan jeg har det, men jeg skal ut med noen venner, [You know how I am doing, mom, but I'm going out with some friends]" I said and hung up the phone. Jeesh, mom could be so dumb, she seriously asked how I was doing, and she didn't want me, no she wanted my pretty little sister.
"What the hell was that'?" a boy asked. Shit, I forgot Cole was in the room. I cursed under my breath. Lucky for me, the doorbell rang. I sprinted down the stairs, still with my phone in my hands. I opened the door and in front of me stood Rita.
I quickly grabbed her and dragged her after me. "We're leaving for the mall, mom!" I yelled. I heard a faint ok, and we jumped into the car. I got buckled and Rita drove out of the drive way.
"Why in such a hurry?" she asked. I looked down, should I tell her. Yes, she was my best friend. "You know Cole?" I started, she nodded her head.
"Well, when his family was over for dinner, he was too, something accidentally slipped my mouth and they began asking questions. I couldn't take it anymore so I ran up to my room. That's were Cole comes in.
He saw I was sad and begun cheering me up, with movies and stuff, but I fell asleep on him. He slept in my bed with me in his arms the whole night. When I woke up, mom took a picture of us, I shooed her away.
I was about to go, but Cole woke up, and I didn't want to talk to him, so I ran out, and got me with you." I think that was it, I lied, yes. But I couldn't tell her yet that I talked to my Norwegian mom.
She nodded and we drove the rest of the way in silence. I looked out of the window at the passing trees I saw on the way. I loved the woods, I could relax there, and I didn't have to worry about anything. It's a place where I can think and let my thoughts fly.
It is also where I use to draw, it give me inspiration to draw. Expectably the animals, their body is so fantastic, all their movements, it's pretty hard to get that down at the paper, but when it does it's beautiful.
"We're here," Rita said and stopped the car, breaking me out of my thoughts. I nodded and got out of the car.
After hours with shopping we sat down at Starbucks to get some coffee.
We sat on the corner table; we talked for some time before I heard a voice.
"Your mother said you would be here." I knew who it was and I groaned. I looked up, and I was right. In front of our table stood Cole; His hands in his pocket, and messy hair.
"What the hell are you doing here, Cole?" I asked and took a sip of my coffee. He smiled and sat down beside me, a little closer than I wanted.
"I'm here to see you, and ask what the hell you were saying this morning," he answered and slung an arm around my shoulder, I shrugged it off, but he kept on taking his arms around me.
"I have no idea why you are talking about," I said innocently. I added a cute smile. He narrowed his eyes at me, and I chuckled.
"I don't want to talk about it, it was my fucking mom," I said angrily and tears begun to form in the corner of my eyes. Cole saw this and scooped me closer to him.
