Chapter 22: The date
After his promise, he took the duvet over my head and dressed off until he was only in his boxer before craving into bed. I guess he didn't want me to be alone, since I was still a little shaken up after Daniel had visited us. I still couldn't wrap my mind around it, and that made me dizzy.
Kyle wrapped his arms around me and I leaned my head on his chest while he soothed me, when I felt the tears dripping onto our intertwined hands I understood that I cried. Why did he have to destroy this perfect time, when I had amazing friends and a very hot mate?
"Wait," I said. I turned so I was looking at Kyle instead of the wall. Kyle raised an eyebrow and I saw that he had a tattoo on his very shirtless chest. "The moon goddess said a prophecy about me."
Kyle's eyebrow was now furrowed instead of his curiosity. I never actually thought about it, but now it just popped into my brain.
"The moon goddess likes to play games and that was probably just something so she could get you to me, because she have special way to get her mates together," he said. When I thought about it, it was because the prophecy I noticed he had cheated on me and then run of to meet Kyle. Wow, she's actually very smart.
I nodded and laid my head back on his chest before I fell asleep.

"You need more cool clothes, Mel," Alex said and rolled her eyes. I crossed my arms and shook my head at the clothes she had picked out for me. After my opinion the clothes showed too much skin.
"Then you could find more skinny jeans," I said back. I'm very stubborn and let us just say that I never really liked that people told me how to dress. Alex let out a sigh and looked as she was about to explode.
"You're going on a fucking date, Melody!" She yelled at me. People looked our way and started whispering. I put my hands over her mouth and gave her a stern look. That made her shut up.
Yes, Kyle asked me if I wanted to go and I of course said yes. I had no idea where he was taking me, but Alex did and that is seriously annoying since she had to pick my clothes. Clothes were something we were very different in; while she looked for cute dresses, I looked for skinny jeans and some top that could look pretty.
Alex showed another dress into my hands and pushed me to the fitting rooms. When I was behind the curtains she ordered me to try the dress out.
"I do not want to go in a dress, Alexandra," I said using her whole name. I got the finger and I knew I could no longer discuss with her so the only thing I could do was to try on that stupid dress. I grumbled some colorful words under my breath as I tried the dress she had picked for me.
It was a cute summer dress. It was a red and white striped dress with a black belt. The upper was tight and then it flowed out after the belt. I think it fitted me.
I walked out of the room and saw Alex standing there waiting for me to get ready. I found Alex standing outside. I coughed and got her attention. Her mouth dropped and her red lips were parted.
"What do you think?" I said, biting my lip.
"Gorgeous!" she squealed. I giggled at her jumping around in the shop. When she had calmed down, I shifted back and was back in my old comfortable jeans and top. Alex insisted on paying, but I paid for myself.
After we got back, Alex thought it would be fun to dress me up so she put me in a chair and got all her make-up and other things out. Alex started with my hair and straightened it, but still had some volume in it. After that she had pink lip gloss on and mascara. I got little rosy cheeks and pink eye shadow. Also she went with the natural look.
"Is all of this really necessary?" I asked her. Alex had her head in her shoe closet. She didn't answer me, but continued to dig through her shoes.
"Found them!" She yelled. The shoes she had in her hand were a pair of red flats with a white ribbon on the front. They matched the dress and they weren't heels. Alex gave them to me and I took them on. She beamed and hugged me.
"Are you ready?" we heard him yell from downstairs. We smirked to each other and linked our arms together before walking to meet my mate. When we got down, Kyle stood there and looked as handsome as ever. He had black jeans and a white button up shirt. When he saw us, his eyes were wide and his mouth gaped open.
"Who's Melody?" he asked and I could see the glint in his eyes that he was just kidding. I walked up to him and he took my hand, a nice gesture.
"Ready kitten?" he asked and I nodded. Kyle walked out and he opened his car door for me. I smiled at him and got in. He jogged to the driver side and started the car.
"Where are we going?" I asked him. Kyle didn't answer; actually the only thing I got out from him was a smirk. I huffed and turned to look outside the window instead.
Kyle drove to a restaurant, it wasn't so fancy but very homey. Kyle opened th4e door and I thanked him.
"Reservation for Black," he said to the waitress. She nodded and lead the way to our table. We sat down and began to look through our menus.
"Look who this is." That voice was familiar. I looked up and was met by a pair of green ones. I gasped and Kyle was up in seconds and in front of me.
"Cole," he said.
