Chapter 24: News

I woke up and I felt sore and warm. I've never felt like that before. I tried to move but something held me down. An arm was wrapped around me and my back was pressing against a chest. When I saw who it was, all the memories from the night before came rushing back into my mind. A blush crept onto my cheeks and I felt myself smile. Then I felt it. I needed to pee.

Some colorful words escaped my mouth as I tried to slowly get away from his grip. I tried to be as careful as I could, but Kyle had in some miraculous way woken up and I had before gotten out and was now almost straddling his waist.

Kyle smirked at me, while I just grunted and moved my leg fully over his body. My legs sprinted towards the bathroom and I let myself. I walked out and saw that Kyle was not in the bed. Panicking I looks around in the room.

Not a single track after him. I tried to sniff him, but could only get his scent from the room so that means he was in there. I smiled, but I felt something at the back of my mind. Like someone was trying to get inside or already was inside my head.

Since I didn't know, I tried to block it out. The only thing was that I couldn't. It wouldn't get out of my mind and I fell on my knees. I breathed heavily and tried to understand what was happening.

A door opened, but I couldn't make out who it was, but could only focus on the pain inside me. I couldn't see or hear, my senses were useless and tears was already out of my eyes. The pain grew stronger and I screamed.

My scream was the only thing I could hear and my sight went black, but I wasn't unconscious. My panic went from OK to terrible in a few seconds. I panicked and didn't know where I was, who I was and what was happening. I could still sense there was something behind this and I knew that only if I blacked out it would stop.

Simple, but I couldn't black out. It was like I wasn't allowed to. I tried, but the pain was too big and nothing could make it be better. My screams were getting louder. A voice boomed in my head: "Feel the pain and feel the death!" I could only feel the darkness that surrounded me. All light was gone; like I disappeared away from earth. The last thing I remember was a laughing face with a dark mask in front of me before I finally blacked out and felt nothing but numbness.

The light hit my eyes and they shoot open. My head hurt and had a terrible pain. The room I was in was white and had a strong light. If I don't know, this may be a hospital room. No one was in it except me. I looked down at me and saw there were wires attached to me and a beeping machine that went on my nerves.

I had small cuts all over and a few bruises. Nothing too bad, I think. The door opened and Kyle walked in. When he saw I was awake he smiled and walked to me. He sat down at a chair and took my cold hands in his warm ones. A smile crept out on my face at the touch.

"How are you feeling, kitten?" Kyle asked.

"Have been better," I croak. My voice was hoarse and my throat was dry. Like he was reading my thoughts he gave me a glass of water and I drowned it in a few seconds. Kyle chuckled and I felt much better after the cold liquid had gotten down.

"What happened?" I asked, once I wasn't dry. Kyle sighed, but took his chair closer to me. "There's only one creature that can do that," Kyle said. My mind raced with ideas of what that could be. There were a lot of things that could be it, but I do have a feeling what it was.

"Vampire." When the words leave my mouth I knew it was true. The look at Kyle proved what I said was true. I'm not very comfortable with people being in my head. "Yeah, I know who it is," Kyle said, "but I'm not sure if you're ready to hear it."

I scoffed and he cracked a small smile. I'm ready to kick some ass, even if it is one I know.

"Who is it?" I asked and gave him my best puppy eyes. He chuckled.

"It's Daniel," he sighed. My eyes widened. Daniel was a vampire? No, no! That's not possible. Daniel can't be. Kyle sighed and made me sit up. My head was in pain and I groaned. Kyle looked worryingly at me, but I brushed it of saying it didn't matter right now.

"Werewolves can sense other unnatural beings and Daniel is a vampire."

I knew he couldn't lie to me, mates can't do that. I have done my research about it. I nodded and we let it go. When I looked at him I saw his blonde hair was a mess and his blue eyes looked a little dull. If I was going to sum it up, he was tired.

"How long was I out?" I asked him. He looked uneasy about it, maybe I was out longer then I thought. "A week," he said and looked at my stomach. I wonder what he looked at and looked down myself.

Nothing.

There was nothing on it and I sent a question look to Kyle.

"We found out something," he said quietly, but I could see his eyes were a little happier than before. I nodded, encouraging him to continue.

"Um, how do I say this?" he mumbled. I chuckled a little. "Just say it," I said and smiled. He nodded.

"You're pregnant, Melody."

My first thought was what the hell did that sexy boyfriend of mine say? I'm surprised. I'm pregnant. But I'm sixteen years old! I must have looked shocked because Kyle brought me into a hug.

The hug was warm and I felt safe. "How did that happen?" I asked into his chest. Kyle smirked, "you know when to people like each other and they want to take it to a new level by ge-" I cut him off. "I know what you!" I said and blushed scarlet red.

Kyle chuckled and I slapped his arm. "Werewolves have a shorter labor then humans so you can find it out earlier," he explained. I nodded and then looked at my stomach. It felt surreal that something was growing inside of me.

And that was also Kyle's. I smiled at the thought and wrapped my arms around Kyle's neck. Small happy tears rolled down my cheek and I laughed a little. I think Kyle was happy I didn't freak out about it. Even if it is a big responsible to have a child, I have good friends and this is made out of love. I think it was love. I knew I loved Kyle and I would do anything for him.

As we hugged we made a little space between us. I looked deep into the blue eyes and found myself smiling for no reason. His hand gently stroked my cheek, and her eyes had that little glimpse of happiness.

Something I was missing until I found him. My whole body felt full and I would not want anyone but him. I knew that he was mine and I was his. The midnight black hair was shaggy on his head and did just that those blue eyes became more visible in the dim light that surrounded us.

The other hand was nicely on my hip and stroked my little that was feasible. Electric shock through my body and gave me a warm feeling. My eyes slid down to his lips which was a rich and a light pink color. He saw it and an arrogant smile shaped itself, while my cheeks burned red glow that he had discovered me.

Then he leaned closer to me, I closed my eyes and felt a movement of his lips that rattled the mine. My mouth went into a small smile as he pressed them firmly against mine. Fireworks exploded in my heart and throughout the body. Our lips moved in sync.

My arms buckled around his neck and into his hair, while my fingers twisted locks of hair. His hands were round my waist and pulled me closer so our bodies had no in between. We were merged into one person. No one could stop this, not even a meteorite that hit close by us. We broke apart and gasped for air.

My breath was heavy and panting. Foreheads pressed against each other and I smiled as I looked into those sea-blue eyes I could never forget. "Melody," he said. The voice was deep and hoarse, but he spoke clearly. My name flowed from his tongue as if it was meant for him to say it. I did not trust my voice so I just nodded in response.

"I love you." I smiled at him and new that this was my dream. A dream come true and I could never be happier about it.

"I love you too," I said as we embraced again.
