HOPE SOLO
Hope stared at the wall with an unaltering look on her face. The amount of flackery the WWC (Women's World Cup) produced was astonishing. In one article she is pregnant, in another she is a smoker. Though it is good the media is involved in an event such as this, the lies are annoying. Some days it's hard to be out in public without people annoying her with questions.

The door opened and shut. She looked up to seem Perry with a content smile on her face. "Where did you and O'Hara run if to?" Hope turned the chair to face her daughter. She watched Perry take her sunglasses off of her head and place them on the nightstand.

"We went out to eat. The food was OK, I've had better." Perry replied, sitting on Hope's bed. She took her hair out of its braid, and had her wavy hair fall down her shoulders. "Hope," she started, but her voice died out.

"Yes?"

Perry made eye contact with Hope. "When Kelley went to the bathroom this old lady came over to our table. She looked me dead in the eyes and said, "Girl, your mother is a disgrace. That humbuggery of a goalkeeper doesn't deserve that position. You best leave her while you can. I've seen what she did to her nephew, there is only a small amount of time before she does it to you." Then she left." She awkwardly rubbed her forearm. "What did she mean?"

Hope cringed as she sucked in a sharp breath. She knew this day would come, a day that she was hoping would never happen. "There-" She saw a look in Perry's eyes that she couldn't make out. "It's nothing." Hope lied straight through her teeth.

She nodded, feeling she was answered. Perry gave Hope a nod and grabbed her pajamas. "Thanks Hope. I'm gonna get in my pajamas then go to sleep." She popped off of the bed and headed over to the bathroom.

"Night, I'm going to Cap's room." Hope said. She grabbed her room key and exited the hotel room. The goalkeepr knocked on Christie's door. She needed advice badly. And she wasn't willing to go to the other captain (Abby). She still had dignity to keep. Carli was doing an interview over the phone. Meaning no help from her.

Christie opened the door and gave Hope a tired smile. Her hair was messy and face was makeup less. "How can I help you?" She asked, leaning on the door frame.

"Someone hinted to Perry about my trial." Was all Hope had to say.

The older woman's eyes went wide as she pulled Hope into the room. Christie shut the door and looked up at Hope. "Did you explain to her what happened?"

"No, it just didn't feel right telling her. I need to find my own time for it." Hope felt Christie's judging eyes on her. Boy, this is going to be a long conversation. She thought.

PERRY SOLO
Perry walked out of the bathroom to see Carli sitting on her bed. "Hey Carli," she greeted. Perry practically flopped down on the bed she and hope share.

Carli have her a wave as she set her phone down next to her.

She was too tired to even try to make small talk, or even a conversation with her. Perry turned the lamp off next to her bed. She then tucked herself in tightly under the blanket. "Goodnight Carli. If Hope comes back when you're awake, tell her I said goodnight."

Carli nodded, though the girl couldn't see it. "Goodnight Perry. Get ready to wake up early tomorrow." She had a small smile on her face as she watched Perry shift in bed.

A few minutes had passed before Perry was able to fall asleep.

Author's Note: Hey guys, I have a small announcement to make. So I expect this chapter to go on till chapter 35 to 40 (still not sure how many are going to be left). Anyways, the next book will be coming somewhat soon. I'm going to give like a small "trailer" of it. The next book is going to be Perry's life fitting in as a highschool senior. It is also going to be about the struggles of having a somewhat disfunctional family (Hope's along with the USWNT family). You may ask why I am telling you all of this, so here it goes. I will leave it to you guys to leave a comment on what you think the title for the second book should be. That one lucky person will have their name in the description of the book, have the first chapter to them dedicated, a follow (if I am not following you already), and I will read and vote for any one story of your's.
