Chapter 59: On the road

Mia's Point Of View

I was gonna go to Selena's house but then I thought why not invite her to a nice meal have some dinner and just talk for a bit? I mean after all we haven't talked since forever and she's my best friend's girlfriend so i did, I called her and told her to meet me at the nice guy restaurant when I arrived I made sure Mark doesn't wait up for me he can go wherever he wants until I decide to leave, few minutes after my arrival Selena walked in, I waved to her and she smiled walking towards me i stood up and hugged her "hey, how are you?"

"I'm good" I grinned "how are you?"

"I'm just fine" she said sitting down

We ordered our food and of course our drinks and we talked, at first all we talked about was work, new movies, photoshoots etc but then she asked why is she here so i had to take a real deep breath and start talking

"I'm just worried about Justin..." I started

"He told me you'd be spending a week here and that I should leave you two alone" she said

"He did?"

"He said he hasn't seen you in so long"

"Yeah that's true it's been a while since we spoke or saw each other but um anyway he was just fine during the past days until today... twist and the others came over and he's obviously using drugs again I don't know what to do..." I said "maybe you could tell him to quit since he listens to you... it's really affecting him and I don't like it" I said

"I told him not to hang out with them he never listens!" She said through gritted teeth "it's like he does the complete opposite of what i say"

"There's a lot on my plate right now and I'm trying to help him as well as everyone else around me but he pushes me away he doesn't open up to me like he used to... maybe you can change that"

"I'll see what I can do after all he's my boyfriend and I want him to be okay" she said

I nodded sighing. Her phone rang so she pulled it out "its Justin"

"Hey babe" she said "no I'm not home why?"

I grabbed my glass and drank what was left

"No we're at the nice guy- don't worry we're just catching up nothing else... oh you called her? She's right here"

I pointed at myself, she nodded "okay I'll tell her so, okay love you"

"He says he kicked them out you can go back home"

I nodded "I'll go later not now"

"Okay I should get going since I have work tomorrow morning so I'll see you around?"

I nodded "I'll see you around"

I asked for another glass of wine and shook my head, as I pulled my phone out of my purse to see a couple of missed calls from Justin and Ethan I turned off my phone and closed my eyes for a few seconds thinking of a way to save Justin from this mess.

It was way past midnight, and i had just been woken up by a gentle shake of my arm. Rubbing my eyes, i sat up in my bed and did my best not to fall back down into a deeper sleep. I felt myself being shaken again, except this time it was more aggressive.
