Chapter 48: Studio nights

Mia's Point Of View

*one year later*

"One more time, play that back," i said into the mic. I adjusted my headphones and stepped back. The music engineer did something with all the switchs and played the part of music that i wanted back. I was in the booth nodding my head waiting for the part to start singing over. Emma sat on Ryan's lap on the couch next to Jake. It was almost 11:30 pm and I had been in the studio since 10:00 in the morning. It was ridiculous how hard i was working to release a couple of more songs.

Yup that's me, you're probably wondering how i ended up right here. Let me throw it back in a quick flashback

"Keep hitting those high notes baby! You gon end up snatching all them weaves one day" Ethan yelled from the bedroom

"Damn you for making me roll my eyes while im showering Dre" I yelled back

Suddenly the door was opened and a grinning Ethan sat on the toilet seat in front of me "I swear to god you'll be such a great singer one day"

"Oh please" I said turning my back to him so i was now facing the wall

"I mean it. Get in the music industry you'll do better than 90% of these fake ass singers" he said

"I don't want another thing on my plate I'm already way too busy E,"

"It won't hurt to give it a try"

"Ethan i design, act and model dont forget that I wanna have some free time with you, my friends and family do you think I have time to sing too?"

"You'll make time for that"

"What's it to you anyway?"

He huffed "Well sorry for praising your gifts and talents and wanting the best for you"

"You're sweet but no. Nobody ever heard me sing other than you, maybe Emma and Jake too but like no I don't like singing in front of anyone"

"Mia. It won't hurt to give it a try" he repeated

"Fine, now shut up and leave you're disturbing me"

And that's how I ended up being convinced to get in the music industry. Everyone was super supportive and I honestly don't mind getting paid more so

"Mia get a break" Jake opened the booth's door saying

"J if you wanna go home you can I just need to finish this one" I said

"Hey, the food is here, I'm gonna run down and get it." Ryan said standing up along with Emma. I nodded and looked at Jake again.

You're probably wondering where's Ethan? Well he's in LA working, he just recently became an actor and words can't describe how proud i am of him. He seriously deserves the best in the world. He's been spending a lot and I mean a lot of time with Justin, Justin has become a mess since last year. I gotta admit I'm worried about him, his health is just becoming worse and worse each day he doesn't take care of himself at all he drinks 24/7 he's high 24/7 he gets into fights he sleeps with different girls every night and it hurts. It hurts to see him do this to himself

All of us tried to help him but he's so stubborn he refuses our help and pushes us away

"Alright," I said coming out of the booth. "I wanna hear it." The sound guy, Rob, nodded and played it back. The producer was nodding and tapping his foot as i closed my eyes listening. My eyebrows furrowed. When it was over, the producer started giving him notes and I put in my thoughts too.
