Maka's POV

I'm worried about Soul. He's missing and I can't find him. I can't find his soul anywhere. The Fairy Tail and the alchemist groups are still traveling to the DWMA. After the quick meeting with Kid's father, which was actually explaining the situation to him, The others continued to go searching while I stayed at the DWMA with Kelly and Milli.

"Maka, are you okay?" Milli asked, seeing my sad expression.

"I'm okay." I said, smiling.

"You sure?"

I nodded, looking down.

"Maka, it's okay. We'll find Soul." Kelly said, as if she was reading my mind.

I nodded and continued to look down at my feet.

"Do you think Soul's gone? That someone killed him?" I whispered.

"No. Don't think like that Maka. He's alive, I know it." Milli smiled.

"But what if he isn't?! I couldn't bear the thought that he's dead and I wasn't able to protect him!" I shouted.

"He's alive Maka." Kelly said, a serious expression plastered on her face.

I stared at Kelly's serious face. "We will find him."

I nodded and smiled, hugging Kelly. I silently cried on her shoulder, and Kelly hugged me tighter.

I heard an explosion and let go of Kelly. I turned around to see a shadow arrive from a cloud of smoke.

"You know Maka, saying that someone might be dead when you don't even know yourself, is uncool." the voice said.

My eyes widened as Soul appeared.

"Soul!" I cried out in joy. But my smile faded once I saw his eyes. They were pure black.

"Soul?" I whispered.

"Hey, Maka." Soul smirked.

"Milli, weapon form." Kelly commanded.

"Right." Milli replied, becoming a katana.

"Soul, what happened?" I asked.

"Can't say." he said, putting his finger to his lips.

I stepped back, but ended up falling onto my butt.

"Here we go!" Kelly shouted. She dashed towards Soul's direction and started slashing at Soul. But his arm became a scythe blade and he blocked each attack.

I watched in horror. I didn't know what to do. Should I stop Kelly? Or should I just watch? I don't know. I'm useless without Soul. He's my weapon partner. But now, he's corrupted.

"This isn't doing any good. Alright, Milli! Let's try something else." Kelly said.

"Alright!" Milli shouted.

"Let's go! Soul resonance!" they shouted in unison.

Their souls started to connect and soon, Milli started glowing.

"Light blade!" Kelly shouted.

Milli stopped glowing and she became a golden color and a larger blade.

"Light blade transformation complete."

"Let's go!" Kelly shouted, slashing at Soul again.

Soul's arm transformed and he slashed at Kelly. The two continued to fight. I just sat there watching. I couldn't do anything. I was alone, no one to help.

"NOW, TSUBAKI!!!"

I turned around and I saw a chain scythe being flung at Soul. Once it was wrapped around him, Soul growled and tried to break out of the chains.

"Yahoo! Black*Star saves the day!" Black*Star shouted. Tsubaki changed back into her human form with her hair as the chain that was holding Soul.

"Black*Star! Tsubaki!" Kelly shouted with glee.

"You guys are tough. But don't be surprised if you die soon." Soul said, disappearing

"Hey! Where'd he go?! That's not fair!" Black*Star shouted as he ranted on.

Kelly sweatdropped at Black*Star as Milli became her human form.

"Are you okay?" Kelly asked me as she walked up to me, holding her hand out.

I nodded as I took her hand and she pulled me up.

"Soul, he was corrupted." I whispered.

"I'm so sorry, Maka." Milli said.

I sighed and nodded. "It's okay. But now, we need to hurry. We need to end this!"
