And Stein
Those four were the ones who stopped glowing, the ones who would stay.
"No... no..." Kelly mumbled as she fell to her knees. Stephanie ran over to Gray and gave him a hug, as well as Edith with China. "Why...? Why does this keep happening...?"
Everyone looked over at Kelly with a saddened look. "Every time something good happens, something bad always has to ruin it. Always! Why is my life like this?! It's not fair!" Kelly slammed her fist onto the ground.
Stephanie approached her friend slowly. "Kelly, it's gonna be alri-" "Alright?! You're boyfriend isn't going to disappear from you forever! He's not leaving you! Put yourself in my position first before shouting it'll be okay!" Kelly snapped.
Stephanie looked at her with a hurt look. "I-I'm sorry..." she mumbled, backing back up to Gray. Kelly was a mess, crying her heart out.
"Guys, give Kelly some space. We should leave her and Kid alone." Maka said as everyone else walked out of the room.
Kid looked down over at Kelly, his hands in his pockets, in his usual calm state. His expression was different. He looked at her with a sad face. He kneeled next to her and smiled sadly.
"Hey, Kelly. It's gonna be okay." he said. Kelly couldn't look at him, she continued crying. "Come on, Kelly. Look at me, please." Kelly shook her head, refusing to look up. Kid groaned slightly before he lifted her head up, forcing her to face him.
"Kelly, listen. It's going to be alright." Kid stated. Kelly looked up at him, still crying. "I... I don't understand how you're so calm about this..." she managed out. Kid sighed as he wrapped his arms around her as she cried on his shoulder, him not caring if she was making his suit asymmetrical with her tears.
"I don't want you to leave..." Kelly cried. Kid nodded. "Me either."
Kelly looked down to notice his feet were already disappearing into thin air. Instead of pulling away from shock, she just embraced him even tighter, as if it would allow him to stay.
