Stephanie's POV
I watched in terror as Kelly threw her head back, laughing, insanely. "Kelly, what happened to you?" I whispered to myself.
"She's gone deep into the madness. Either Milli let her or she's fighting her to gain her sanity now, but Kelly only has a certain amount of time in this state, unless she ends up becoming mad forever." Jennifer explained. "Why does she have a certain amount of time?" I asked.
"She has four different time limits. The first one is if Kid ends up defeating her. The second is when Milli and Kelly both can't hold the madness back anymore. The third one is if Milli's trying to fight off the madness, then Kelly will only have a certain amount of time until she's forced out. The fourth one is if Kelly's trying to reach Kid's soul to contact him through the madness, then she had to be able to make it before his soul ends up being engulfed in madness." I nodded my head, understanding before turning my attention to the fight again.
"You were able to block my attack." Kid mumbled. "Yeah? So what? See if you can block this though!" Kelly shouted as she jumped forward and swung at Kid. She acted as if she was drunk, however. She missed easily, but you could tell just how much damage the attack would've made when she accidentally cut a boulder in half.
"You're not putting up much of a fight." Kid said. Kelly started giggling again. "Why? You want me to? Hehe... this is just all soooo funny!" Kelly slurred.
Kid glared at her before he started to shoot her again. As the blasts penetrated Kelly's body, blood spilled out. She put her hand to one of her injuries and smiled at the sight of her blood as she licked it. "Yummy!" Kelly laughed. "More like gross." I muttered.
"Come on! Make me bleed even more! Or maybe I should taste yours!" Kelly laughed before she slashed at Kid again. "It's like she became a vampire or something." Lauren sweatdropped. "Yeah, but now's not the time to be thinking of that. The madness has to do with blood somehow. It's like that's the source of her madness." I said.
As Kelly and Kid kept fighting, I started to think of the connection with blood and madness. That's when I remembered something Professor Stein told us.
~Flashback to earlier~
"What do you mean 'blasted with madness'?" Lauren asked.
"Kid's twin pistols don't shoot bullets, they shoot his soul wavelength. But, now that he's corrupted by madness, his wavelength mixed with it to cause the madness that hit Kelly." Stein explained.
"But, then shouldn't she be acting all crazy now? Or becoming a kishin?" Jennifer asked. Stein shook his head. "Why not?"
"There is madness, I'm 100% sure of it. But she has to allow it to takeover. She has control of her sanity, which is good. But if she lets it, the madness will slowly take over her body."
"What kind of madness does she have?" I asked. "I'm not quite sure. But the madness within her has to do with blood for sure." Stein said.
"Blood?" "Yes. This is because of the dream she had that followed suit. Milli, explain to the others what it was." Stein said. Milli looked up at him. "Surprised I knew?" he chuckled. Milli nodded a little before she explained her dream. I listened with terror in my eyes. That sounded like a nightmare!
"This is why it had to do with blood. I'm calling it the 'madness of harm, or blood'. But, you get the picture." Stein concluded.
We all nodded in response. 'The maddness of harm.'

Kelly's POV
~In Kelly's soul~
As I continued to float around, I tried to pick up Kid's soul wavelength. "Where is it?!" I thought as I finally opened my eyes and looked around. Because the blood was no longer near me, I was able to see properly.
Everywhere was black, still, but I could see a layer of white where there wasn't any black blood. As I looked and moved around, I could feel the presence of another soul. It wasn't Milli's, it was different. Was it Kid, Liz, or Patty's soul?
As I moved toward the soul, the blood parted to make a path. As I approached the soul, I held it in my hands. "Let's see, the soul, how do I describe it? Calm and collected, but with a bit of a temper. It has to be. It's Kid's soul!" I smiled.
I hugged the soul in my arms as I closed my eyes again, time to journey into Kid's soul now.
