Ed's POV

As I laid there in bed, I stared at the glass in front of me. "Drink it." "No." "Drink it." "I said no!"

"Come on, Edward! You have to drink it so you'll be able to fight again!" Wendy protested, shoving the glass of milk in my face. "No way in hell will I ever drink that stuff!" I shouted. Al sighed at my reaction while Wendy sighed in defeat.

"Edward, if you don't drink that, maybe I'll just have to force you to drink it, one way or the next." Stein threatened me as he held a scalpel in his hand. I grabbed the glass from Wendy's hand and drank it all in one gulp. It was disgusting, but I swear, I wasn't going to be dissected anytime soon. And especially not by that Stein guy. He gave me the creeps.

"Wow, big brother. You never drink milk." Al muttered. "Shut up. Don't act as if I enjoyed it."

Stein sighed as he pushed his glasses up his nose and walked to the other side of the room where Kelly's bed was. I could see some specs of blood from where the blood from her clothes stained the bed. I had to say she was crazy. She just up and left after sensing something, even though she wasn't in any condition to fight.

"I swear, Kelly is going to end up here again, watch." Stein muttered under his breath. "She senses an increase of a witch's soul and she won't even consider her condition." "Well, Professor Stein, she did also mention her friends were severely injured based on their souls, right?" Wendy asked.

Stein nodded in reply. "I just have this feeling that something's not right." Stein traced his fingers over the blood spots on the bed. "It's as if it has to do with the madness that was blasted into her head."

"Stein, what exactly is madness?" I asked, a little afraid of his answer.

"It's the force of hate, rage, and chaos that is spread by soul wavelengths. It spreads like a disease. Everyone has some madness within them. It's not only spread, but it influences those who submit to it. Madness can cause people to lose their minds. Anyone who is exposed to the wavelength, up close, starts to hallucinate and become disoriented. In other words, when the madness takes over, all hell breaks loose within you." Stein explained, grimly.

I had an expression of absolute horror on my face. Madness sounded terrifying. What would happen if I actually did go up against someone influenced by that? Oh, yeah, I did. It was my brother... BUT I DID END UP HERE IN THIS STUPID HEALING CENTER!

Kelly's POV

I fell to the ground but got up immediately. My dress was already torn at the bottom and my black leggings had holes in them, everywhere. So far I've only relied on Milli and a few fire spells here and there, but Kid was seriously owning me. It was as if he was invincible. Sure a grim reaper is strong and all, but they're not invincible!

"You're not putting up much of a fight. What happened to that strength you had earlier? Was I just imagining it or did that blast from earlier knock all of it out of you?" Kid taunted. I ignored him and charged at him, swinging my katana at him like crazy.

Kid continued dodging my attacks as he continued to shoot at me with his twin pistols. I tried countering them as best as I could. When I got some distance from him, I almost collapsed. "Come on, Kelly! Don't give up!" Milli shouted.

I nodded before charging at Kid once more. "Still trying to fight me? Just give up already." Kid smirked.

"And you just shut up already! Kid, since when do you allow others to control you, huh? And since when were you so asymmetrical?" I asked, trying to see if that would bring him back a little. There was a short silence and I thought he was just readying an attack, before I see him on the ground, pounding his fist.

"Am I really that asymmetrical?! Why?! Why am I so asymmetrical! It pains me! Damn! I'm so sad! I want to die!" Kid ranted on. We all just stood there from shock. "Is Kid actually back with us?" I heard Liz exclaim.

"Some symmetry comment won't release him! Kid! Finish her off already!" Medusa shouted, raising her arms. Kid stood back up, staring at me with a death glare.

"Alright then." Kid muttered, facing me. I took a step back. "Soul resonance." he muttered as his soul wavelength started to connect with Liz and Patty's.

"Wait! We never even started a resonance!" Patty exclaimed. "How is he doing this?!" Liz panicked. The two twin pistols in Kid's hands started to expand up his arms. They started glowing before he aimed at me. "Kelly! You have to get out of the way!" Liz and Patty shouted.

"Death canon." Kid mumbled as he shot at me. I watched as the light from his blast came closer to me. I fell to my knees and stared at the blast. I couldn't move.
