*eventually Ben says goodbye to his parents and heads back over to the living quarters, he walks in to find Evie finishing up on Mal's hair*
Ben: hey
Mal: hey babe
Ben: when do I get to steal my wife back?
Evie: when I'm finished with her
Ben: and if I just start making out with her?
Evie: then you probably ruin why I've done and I kill you
Ben: that's a little excessive
Evie: I'm almost finished just wait a couple more minutes
Ben: fine, an I allowed to say hello at the very least?
Evie: yes
*both Ben and Evie chuckle*
Evie: happy birthday Ben
Ben: thanks
*ben walks over to Mal, kneels down in front of her and takes her hands in his*
Ben: how're my babies doing?
Mal: they're making me need to pee yet again
Ben: again?
Evie: 5 times in the last hour, that's why I'm still going
Ben: oh dear
Mal: I don't like this
Ben: 6 months sweetheart, just 6 more months
Mal: I know
*ben gently kissed her stomach making her smile uncontrollably*
Ben: there you go, that's the smile I love
Mal: you're such a dork
Evie: and done, I'll see you later
*Evie hugs Mal and then leaves*
Ben: well then, we're alone now
Mal: yeah
Ben: how you feeling?
Mal: you don't have to ask me that every ten seconds you know?
Ben: I'm sorry it just comes out
Mal: okay
Ben: I want to go with you to see the doctor tomorrow, the situation needs to be explained and I want to be there, I want to be involved, I want to know what's happening
Mal: okay
Ben: and I want to make sure you know that you can tell em anything, if there's anything at all, tell me, okay? I don't care what it is, a question, something's going on or you just want to talk, whatever it is I don't care, I want to know everything
Mal: okay
Ben: you seem to just be saying okay to everything
Mal: because it fits and because I can't be bothered to think of a new word
Ben: okay babe
Mal: now you're saying it
*they both chuckled*
Ben: I'm gonna go get ready because I don't even know but I am so yeah
*Mal stood there trying not to laugh at that lack of sense he'd just made but as he left the room she finally let out a snigger*
Ben: I heard that!
Mal: I bet you did
*apparently whispering under her breath didn't work all that well either though as he replied*
Ben: yep
*eventually he was dressed and ready, waiting for her to be ready so they could go for dinner before, eventually she came out in a floaty lilac dress, you could tell how much thought Evie had put into making it, she always loved to make a dress for Mal to wear and this was outstanding work*
Ben: wow
Mal: very eloquently put there
Ben: you look beautiful Mal
Mal: thanks, you can't see and bump can you?
Ben: but even a little
Mal: does it look like I'm trying to hide something?
Ben: not at all
Mal: are you just saying what you think I want to hear?
Ben: babe I promise you I'm not
Mal: okay, I'm hungry, and I don't think it's just me so let's get on with dinner
Ben: yeah, okay, come on
