Seven

While I was working Allison suggested that to attract more of younger customers that we should do karaoke, I wasn't all up for the idea but I couldn't exactly argue I wasn't in charge of this place so I agreed with her, when I was cleaning the tables and clearing up the plates and cups I was approached by a woman who looked about thirty. At this point I was fed up of people coming up to me at work I just had enough of it.
"Are you Lillie Dent?" She asked
"Yes that's me." I replied
"Wow, I saw the photo of you and Simon and I just wanted to say that it was amazing."
"Look I'm fed up of people talking about that photo so can you stop please." I asked politely
"My boss he wants to work with you."
"What do you mean?" I asked her
"Take my card and call us any time." She handed me her business card I didn't look at it all I did was put in my back pocket and carried on with cleaning until my shift had finished which was pretty quickly, I hung up my apron and grabbed my bag and left work, even though I would have to come back again at around eight ish for the karaoke it was only two so I had some time to myself and do what ever I wanted.

I looked on Twitter and my direct messages and saw one message that caught my eye I immediately clicked on it and read it.

I knew who that was straight away I rushed to Corey's house to confront him about this, I didn't even knock on the door I ran straight in and found him in the kitchen getting a drink.
"Oh hey Lillie you okay?" He asked, I couldn't hold back my anger so I slapped him as hard as I could
"What the fuck is wrong with you!" He snapped
"You said they you didn't have the photo you lied to me do you know how hard and scary this had been for me? You saw the way I was when I went to see Alex and you lied to me. You posted the photo for everyone to see!"
"Who told you?" He asked
"That doesn't matter how did you get hold of the photo?" I asked him
"I sent it to myself from Alex's phone but I promise she knew nothing about this after I sent the picture I got rid of it in our messages so she wouldn't have seen or knew about it."
"Why do it though?" I asked
"Because I saw how you and Simon were and I couldn't stand it."
"You got jealous? That's just pathetic and I hate you so much Corey don't even contact me again I don't want anything to do with you." I snapped as I left the house and walked away and called Simon he had a right to know about this.

"Simon can we talk?" I asked him
"I thought you didn't want anything to do with me?" He asked
"Please this is important, it's about the photo."
"Oh right tell me then."
"I'd rather do this in person if that's okay?" I asked him
"Yeah sure where shall we meet?"
"You can come to my flat if you want?"
"Okay sure."
"Okay." I ended the call and sent Simon my address I then walked back home so I could speak to Simon. I got home and hung up my bag, just as I was doing it there was a knock at the door and when I answered it Simon was standing on my step, he smiled at me but I didn't smile back I just stepped to the side and let him in I closed for door behind him and took him into my living room so we could talk.

"So about the photo?" Simon asked
"Yeah, I've sorted it."
"What do you mean I sorted it?"
"It's been dealt with so there isn't and need to worry about it anymore, not that you were because you didn't even do anything about it." I snapped
"That's not fair Lillie, I was worried about it because I saw how you were when we met up last time."
"Whatever it's sorted now so you and I can get back to our normal lives without having to worry not that you did anyway." I mumbled the last part
"So does this mean that we can be friends now?" Simon asked I just looked at him and sighed heavily
"I would love to but I can't risk it after what has just happened."
"But it's sorted now so we can be friends, can't we?" He paused after Friends before he finished his sentence
"I don't want more photos the last one blew way out of proportion and I don't want that to happen again."
"So we'll be careful Lillie you don't understand, I can't get you out of my head ever since we met you have been in my head, tattooed to my brain and I can't get rid of you."

"The same with me Simon you're all I can think about you're my first thought when I wake up in the morning and my last thought at night when I sleep but I can't do this no matter how much I want to and how hard it is for me to cut you off from me." I sighed
"Please Lillie I'm begging you, just give us ago." He begged me and it was so hard to say no but I needed to, I walked forward two steps and put my hand on Simons face, he leaned his head into my hand and closed his eyes.
"Your lifestyle is for you not me and I won't be able to handle it even if we did become something more than friends." I slowly let my hand slip away from his face and put them both into my pockets
"I can't change your mind can I?" He sniffled, I shook my head gently at him as I gave him a slight smile. I watched a tear slowly fall down his face and it made me sad there was no doubt about that, I wiped it away with my thumb, Simon took my hand off of his face and held it in his for a few seconds before he left the living room, I walked him to my door he opened the door and walked out and just before he left he turned around and hugged me when he pulled away I kissed his cheek and whispered
"We had a great weekend, didn't we just don't forget that." I pulled away and smiled at him and his teary red face smiled back at me as he left and walked away from my house and from me for good.

I walked back into the living and just stood there for awhile my chest hurt and so did my stomach I wanted Simon in my life but that wasn't going to happened I had to say goodbye to him for good even if I did love him, just a little bit...
