Lillie Dent isn't a popular girl nor is she a loner she is a girl who keeps to herself, when her friends persuade her to go to a summer festival her life changes in an instant when she meets Simon.
The next day I was up early because I had to go to work, I worked in the local cafe in a little street in London it wasn't the most popular cafe but I loved working there because it was so sweet and quiet the walls were pastel colours and it looked so cute and dainty. I walked over to my wardrobe and got changed

I took my phone and house keys along with an apple and left the house and walked to work, it never took long to get to work and I always took the scenic route because it was just so beautiful to see the blossom trees and brightly coloured houses. When I got to work I was shocked to see that for a change we were packed there were loads of people waiting to either get a seat or to be served so they could possibly leave for their jobs that they had, I rushed to the back room and took off my jacket, hung up my bag and put on my apron.

I then rushed to the till to serve the customers, it did take a while but we managed to get everyone who wanted to eat in seated and everyone else was given their food on the go, the atmosphere calmed down a lot after that and it went back to the little relaxed cafe that I loved coming to work at, it came to my break so I paid for some food and sat in the cafe and had my lunch there because there wasn't any point in going out when I could have food in here. While I was sitting in the cafe by the window looking out onto the busy street teenage boys were coming past the window and pointing at me and talking to each other I didn't pay much attention to it until one of the boys walked inside the cafe and came up to me with his phone in his hand. "Um may I help you?" I asked him "You're her aren't you?" He asked "I don't know who you mean." He then held out his phone and showed me a picture from Sunday morning, it was the picture of Simon and I cuddled into each other in the tent. "Where did you get this photo?" I asked as I snatched his phone away from him "It's on Twitter, you and Simon are trending in the U.K." He smiled "Oh U.K." I said in a high pitch voice "Oh now worldwide!" "W-worldwide." I started to panic and shake.
I handed the phone back to the boy and I rushed into the back room as the boy left. "Allison, I need to go home I don't feel well." I lied "It's not our food is it?" She worried "No it's not I felt a bit ill this morning I can do double shifts for someone else to make up for it." I suggested "It's okay you go home and get your rest, I'll cover your shift just get better soon." I thanked Allison I took off my apron and put my jacket back on and grabbed my bag and rushed out of the cafe to go and see Alex to see if she knew anything about the photo. When I got to her flat I barged into her living room to see her and Corey watching TV. "Lillie shouldn't you be at work?" She asked "Y-yeah I said I was ill so I could come home but I lied this is important Alex." "Okay what is it?" She asked "You know the photo of Simon and I?" "Ah yeah, aw you two were so cute." She smiled "No, no we weren't because now we're trending world wide on twitter and I'm freaking the fuck out!" I started to hyperventilate very quickly and panic even worse than before in the cafe.
"Why would you be trending world wide?" Corey asked me "Because Simon is a famous YouTuber with thousands of subscribers, oh god his fans that is why we are trending they're retweeting everything." I felt like crying. "Wow Lillie, I don't know what to say." Alex sighed. "Did you tweet the photo or send it so anyone?" I asked "What? No! I didn't even know about Simon and YouTube and even if I did I wouldn't sell you out to the world you're my best friend." She sounded offended and I did feel bad for accusing her but I had to know who did it. "Corey did you know?" I asked "Yeah I did, I researched him on Facebook and it came up with a page." "So you lied, did you send the photo?" I snapped "No I wouldn't do they either, anyway I don't even have the photo of you and him and I wouldn't want it anyway." I sighed in frustration, suddenly my phone started to ring and made me jump. "It's Simon." I said in a scared tone "Well you need to answer it Lillie!" Alex exclaimed at me, I answered the phone and slowly raised it to my ear.
"Lillie are you okay?" He asked "Worldwide Simon." I said quietly "I know, I don't know who tweeted the photo but when I do I'll kill them, Lillie I'm so sorry you didn't need to be dragged into this." "I'm being labelled as your girlfriend Simon!" "I know, the reasons that it's being made a massive deal over is because I've never really had a girlfriend on YouTube before I've been single of a very long time. That's why it's blowing up again I'm so sorry." He sighed "I don't know what to do, I was approached at my own work by your fans, my work Simon!" I exclaimed "Jesus, look meet me at the park on the hill behind the shard and we can talk about this and figure out what to do next." "Okay I'll be there soon bye Simon." "Lillie?" "Yeah?" "I will sort this I promise." I didn't say anything I just ended the call and rushed to get to the shard to meet Simon so we could sort this.
When I got to the park I waited for about ten minutes for Simon and eventually he showed up, I still hadn't stopped shaking I was so scared. "Hey." He said quietly "Hi, can we just get on with this please?" "Yeah sure, Lille you're shaking." "I've been shaking for the past hour I'm so scared I don't know what to do." "I understand, but there's not much we can do I'm sorry we've just got to let this die down." Simon said "How long will that take?" I asked quickly "I'm not sure, like I said this is pretty big for my fans they've never seen a 'girlfriend' on my channel before or even on Twitter." "O-okay, look Simon you are really nice and funny and caring but I don't think we should be friends at all, before all this I was just a girl with friends and a job that I loved and now I'm being called the 'Mintergirlfriend' and I hate it." I said on the verge of tears "I understand." "See I don't think you do I mean no disrespect but all you have known is this life and nothing else and you're used to it but I'm not and I can't handle it and I don't want anything to do with it." A tear fell down my face, Simon picked up on this and went to wipe it away but I didn't let him I pulled away from him.
"Don't, don't stop us from being friends or even more over a picture Lillie please don't." He begged "I'm sorry but I have to, don't call, text or come and find me and forget about Wednesday Simon." I said as I sniffled, I stood up and so did Simon he went to hug me but I rejected him "What I can't even hug you now?" He asked, I said nothing all I did was shake my head and walk away down the path of the hill leaving Simon by himself. I felt so bad because I was really looking forward to hanging out with him on Wednesday and just getting to know him and become friends or even possibly something more then that, but it was all ruined by one stupid photo and I hated that.
