Bookworm (Loki x Male Ace!Reader) Pt 1

Today was a normal day in New York, cars bustling, mass multitudes of people walking. You were in the mass and you were visiting New York a year after the attack happened. You were honestly surprised how quick things were fixed and kept walking around. You wanted to visit the New York Public Library since you heard it was absolutely amazing. You entered and gasped at how huge it was. "Damn!" you said to yourself. There was a lot of people walking around in there and you saw Tony- Wait Tony Stark? You poked your head around a bookshelf to see that Tony Stark was surrounded by a bunch of fans. Why was he here? You then noticed Thor and Steve Rogers as well. The Avengers were in the library? 

"Hey, Reindeer Games!" Tony called out. "Where are you?" 

"Right here, Stark!" a deep, accented voice yelled right next to you. You turned and saw the same man with piercing green eyes and flawless black hair that you saw in Stuttgart. Your face heated up and you looked away before the man caught you staring. "How come you aren't running away?" the man then asked you. 

"Huh?" you said. The man rolled his eyes.

"I suppose you don't know who I am then," he said. "I am-" 

"Loki, yeah, I know," you replied. Loki gave you a confused look. "I was in Stuttgart, you probably don't remember me, I'm (y/n)," you said. "I was... right next to the old guy you almost killed." 

Loki looked down with guilt. "Oh," he said. "Sorry about that," he said. 

"It's fine, honestly," you shrugged. "I mean... people dying sounds... bad but that's honestly what happens everyday," you said. "Once you accept it, it gets hell of a lot easier to live," you said. He looked at you with confusion. 

"You are an interesting mortal," Loki said. 

"Thanks?" you replied and adjusted your glasses. He chuckled and began walking off.

"Come by the Stark tower sometime, mortal. I think you're worthy to talk to," he smirked. "Just tell them you want to see me," Loki then winked. You blinked at him with confusion and shrugged it off. You looked at the bookshelf and picked out a book. "Rebecca?" Loki said as he passed you. "Good choice," he said right by your ear. A shiver ran down your spine and he walked towards Tony Stark. The crowd parted and the Avengers then left.————————————————————————————

You approached the Stark tower and stopped at the entrance. You left the library a few minutes ago after reading for a few hours. With a lot of books in your satchel, you felt satisfied and ready to see Loki. Entering the tower, you were greeted by a robotic voice. "Hello, I am Jarvis," the voice said. "Are you here on an appointment?" the voice asked. 

"No, I'm just here to see Loki," you answered. 

"What?" Stark's voice then said. "Excuse me, you want to see Loki?" 

"Let him in Stark, I told him to come," Loki's voice echoed on the intercom. The elevator then opened and you stepped into it. Cheesy elevator music played and you read a book while waiting. The elevator then opened and you walked out to see Loki beaming at you. "I'm surprised you came so quickly, (y/n)," he smiled. 

"Yeah... I don't know how long I'll be in New York, so... Might as well visit when I have the chance," you shrugged. Loki frowned for a moment before Stark walked into the hall. 

"Wait, Loki, this is your friend?" Stark asked. "This hipster?" You rolled your eyes and adjusted your glasses. 

"Ok, first of all I'm not a hipster, I enjoy wearing big lenses, and second of all, I think Loki and I are currently just acquaintances," you sighed. Loki nodded and glared at Tony.
