Hi, my name is Imani. I'm a sophomore at Ellington High School. I'm your average teen-aged girl, I just don't do too much. I don't have too many friends, cause not too many people know how to keep it real, so I just stay to myself. I keep a few people around me though for instance, my bestfriend, Paige. We been rocking since third grade, so you know we in this forever. She has been there for me through everything. She is truly what I call a day 1 rider.

Being me is still being your typical 16 year old. I have somewhat of a boyfriend, Jayshaun..he's 17. We've been on and off for almost a year now. Jayshaun is in the drug business, so I can't take him to seriously. He doesn't understand the fact that being in a relationship is called for compromising and doing things the right way. He doesn't know how to keep his attention on the positive. He's always worried about what people will think of him if he doesn't do any little specific thing, and that's where his dope selling life comes in to place, he can't seem to stop, no matter how hard I try to get him to, he just wont do it. As of right now, I would say we together, I mean I love him to much to let him go and I believe he can change. He's making great progress right now and has gained a little of my trust but he also has a lot more to prove in order to keep me by his side in the long run.

Now.. getting into my literal life. I grew up in Chicago, with a single mother, and my older brother. I can honestly say my momma is a solider, she's been doing a damn good raising my brother and I alone. My daddy is... lets just say he wont really around, and neither was my brother's father. My brother and I are close, even though he's older than me. My brother's name is, Colen... he's 24. Him and his girlfriend have their own apartment, so I really don't get to see him as much, but we still maintain communication and that special bond that we have. I currently live in Nebraska, we had to move because my mom got offered a job out here. So my life is now in Nebraska, where I don't know anyone or any cool hang spots.
