What is happening..

Imani POV

I woke up in a hospital bed with my mom and Colen girlfriend Jaida by my bed side. Last thing I remember was hearing gunshots and blacking out and now I'm in the hospital. I look down and see a patch of gauze on my shoulder bone.

"Imani your up." my mom said.

"Yes how long was I asleep?" I asked.

"For about three hours." Jaida said.

"You feeling better, baby?" my mom asked me.

"Yeah, I guess." I continue,"where's Colen and Jay?"

"They said they'd be up here later." my mom said.

Why would somebody shoot me I ask myself. I never did anything to hurt nobody, I keep to myself yet I get shot. This is crazy I thank the man above for not letting it end no more worse than it did though.

Paige POV

I call Imani at the hospital to see how she was doing. I think I did enough sobbing and got myself together now. 

"Hello?" Imani said answering the phone.

"Hey Mani, it's Paige, How you doing?"

"I'm doing good." she said.

"I'm glad you're still here Mani " I said, " I don't know what I would've did with out you."

"Girl me too, I've been thanking god every chance I get." she said.

"That's good, i miss you out here though."

"I miss you too, maybe you should come visit me when school lets out." she insisted.

"I just might take you up on that offer." I said, "but I'm gon let you rest, OK girl love you."

"Love you too." she said hanging up the phone.

I'm glad Imani was OK. She a solider though so I know she was gon pull through with her tough ass. Just as I was headed to the kitchen to find me something to eat I heard a knock at the door. I opened it, to see my ex boyfriend Navante.

"Hey baby, did you miss me." he said grabbing my waist.

"No now get off of me!" I yelled.

"Look I know you missed me now quit fronting."

"No I didn't now get off me." I said trying to get away from his grip.

Navante was the boy I used to date before Quan. We broke up because he was a compulsive liar and never seemed to care about my feelings, considering the fact that he cheated on me every chance he got. We finally lost communication for about two years and that was the end. Now the fact that he was literal at my doorstep is confusing.

"Why you being so childish." he said pushing me against the wall rubbing my butt.

"I'm not being childish, I don't like you now get off of me." I said.

Navante gripped my shoulders with all his might and held me against the wall saying...

"Look I don't know who this nigga is that got you love struck but you need to always remember I own you bitch." he said starring dead into my eyes.

"You don't own nothing, and I nobody's bitch."

"Look I will have you and that nigga in body bags, just like I intended to have Marcus and Imani in." 

"You shot them!" I yelled to the top of my lungs.

"I shot Marcus and my homebody shot Imani." he continued, "they didn't die cause I wanted that to be a warning to yo ass."

"They didn't die because god had them in his faith." I said irritated.

"Look bitch let yo ass disrespect me again and you, that nigga, and anybody else will be in bodybags floating down lake Michigan." he said letting go of me walking towards the door.

When Navante said it was him who had Marcus and Imani shot, I automatically burst into tears. This was all my fault I wish I had never associated myself with him then none of this would have happened. 

Ryan POV

School was just a  few days away, I can't wait to go back. It's been a few days since I last talked to Imani though, I was wondering what she was doing so I texted her phone but didn't get a text back. Maybe she was busy. I had nothing to do today so I just decide to find something to keep my mind occupied. I got to the bathroom turn on the shower and hop in for about an hour. I get out then go to my room. I pull out a black True Religion shirt with some back True Religion jeans and my Gamma Blue 12s. 

A couple minutes later I arrive at the mall and spotted Sidney..

"Hey Ryan." Sidney said.

"Hey wassgood?"

"Nothing, did you here about Imani?" she asked.

"No what happened?" I asked with a worried look on my face.

"Her brother told me she was shot."

"What! is she OK?"

"Yeah he said she's doing fine... she's still in the hospital though you should go see her." Sidney insisted.

"Yeah ima go, see you around."

I can't believe my ears. Imani was so sweet she didn't have beef with nobody, hell I don't even think she had to many friends to have beef with anybody. This is crazy I feel like I known this girl for years just by the way I'm feeling. Who in the actually fuck would try and harm her. This shit is killing me, its a must that I go to the hospital to see her.
