Imani POV

Jayshaun and Colen left yesterday. They went back to Chicago. I didn't want them going off and doing nothing to get locked up, I swear I wouldn't know how to bare with the feeling that they were in jail. Colen felt the need to protect me and I understand that, but Jayshaun going with him? That I didn't understand. I didn't realize how much Jay cared about me until all this happened. Now don't get me wrong, I do love Jay but sometimes I can't see myself being with him in the future.

School starts two days from now, and I haven't talked to Ryan since that day in the hospital. I hope he's not mad at me or anything. I didn't wanna or mean to hurt his feelings or anything, its just I wasn't ready for any relationship yet. At least not until I know where Jayshaun and I stand.

I decided to text Ryan and see if we were still cool..

Imani: Hey Ryan.. whats up with you?

Ryan: Hey Imani and nothing chillen. Yourself?

Imani: Nothing fr, why have you been so distant from me?

Ryan: Its nothing just wanted to give you and ya man some space.

Imani: He's not my man. Can you come over? I wanna talk..

Ryan: Sure ima be there in a couple mins.

*Conversation Ends*

I didn't like the fact that Ryan thought Jayshaun was my man. Like I told him before we had our relationship then, its nothing serious now. Right now I just wanna talk to Ryan to straighten things out. I really do wanna be on good terms with him.

Paige POV

When Quan pulled off after he dropped me off at school, I instantly felt tension. Honestly, I didn't know from who I just felt it. Im not used to feeling tension when I walked through the school building im usually greeted, I mean I was greeted but the tension was still there.

Then some random girl walked up to me..

"Hey I seen that fine ass boy drop you off." she continued, "Does he come with a number I can reach him at?"

"Naw but you can count his girl fingers when they go across ya face." I assured her with a irritated tone.

"And who tf is his girl?" she asked rolling her strong ass neck. I swear this bitch got the bone structure of a man.

"Me bitch! Now get ready to count!" I hollered as I dropped my stuff getting ready to smack her dead in her face.

All of a sudden I felt a grip grab my wrist. I turned around and see a fine ass boy and I mean FINE! He was tall, middle-tone skin, thick hair that sat on his head, had a pretty ass smile with grillz to top it off, and a swagg to kill for.

"Lil momma you too pretty to be fighting." he said letting go off my wrist and picking up my things handing them too me.

"Thanks." I said with a smile. I realized that girl had walked off. The bitch didn't even have the decency to tell me off. Irrelevant ass hoe.

"You come with a name?" he asked me showing of his grillz.

"Paige, and yours?"

"Terry." he answered reaching out for a hug.

"You want a hug already." I chuckled.

"I mean we are on a first name basis you might as well hug me." he smirked.

I gave him a hug, as we released we continued to hold a conversation. I didn't wanna get too comfortable around him considering I am with Quan.

A couple minutes later the bell rung. I was about to make my way to class then Terry grab my wrist...again.

"Aye lil momma where you going?" he asked.

"Uh to class, what you aint hear the bell?" I asked as a smart remark.

"Yeah but I wanna walk you to class babygirl." Terry smiled.

"Stop tryna play cool you tryna get with me." I said as we started walking to class.

"I mean is it that obvious?" he asked.

"Pretty much but I gotta ol man." I said as we stopped infront of my homeroom.

"I mean I know that, the way you was about to foul on that girl." he assured.

The bell rung again letting us know we had ten seconds to get to class.

"You take this class or some?" I asked Terry.

"Yep now your stuck with me for a hour for the whole first period." he laughed showing off his grillz once again.

We walked into class together. Now Terry is cute, dont get me wrong. But im not the cheating type. If im with you then its just us. I have no intentions on messing around on Quan so dont think like that.

Ryan POV

Imani told me to come over her house to "talk". Why? I don't know. I just don't understand how she turns me down but still continues to mess with a nigga who do her so wrong. I mean I get it that they already was messing with eachother but damn, can I at least get one chance?

A couple minutes later I pull up at Imani house. I knock on the door and she answers..

"Hey Ryan, im glad you came." Imani greeted me as she shut the door behind me.

"What you wanna talk about?" I asked.

"I just wanna know why you stop talking to me, and the real reason!" she damanded wanting a complete answer.

"You really wanna know Imani."  I continued, "I've fallen for you girl I dont know how I fell so quick but I did and the fact that you put up with Jayshaun and can't even give me a chance is fucked up Imani."

When I told her that I felt so relieved yet embarrassed. I just met this girl and I just sat here and poured my heart out for her.

Quan POV

I was lost in the moment.. then I heard Colen.

"Quan open the door Nevante out." Colen yelled.

"Aite man."

Jayshaun and Colen scattered to the living room trying to look normal. I opened the door..

"Hello sir, is there a Jayshaun McGarner here?" the police officer asked.

"Yeah, Im here." Jay said walking to the door.

"You're under arrest for assault and battery towards Charity Teaser you have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can and will be held againist you in a court of law."

"What are you talking about , I dont even mess with her." Jay yelled as he was being handcuff.

The police officers walked out with Jay. He was tugging and pulling away but they pushed him into the car.

"Colen wtf man?" I say to Colen.

"I don't know man but we gon have to head to her crib right now." Colen said grabbing my keys and handing them to me.

We head over to Charity crib. We hop out the car and go to knock on the door. Charity opened it..
