Imani POV

It's been three days since Jayshaun been in the hospital. Me and Colen are plotting on how to get me to Chicago to see him but nothing is working out right because nobody knows that Jayshaun is in the hospital but me, Colen, and Quan. I want to tell my mom but I feel like she gon make a big deal out of it. I'm suppose to be going to visit Jay's aunt though. I feel like I have to tell her since she like his family nest right now.

--Later during the day--

I pull up at Jay's aunt house. I knocked on the door and she answered..

"Hey Mani how you been?" she asked.

"Hey miss Tina I'm doing good how about you?" I replied.

"I'm doing fine considering my nephew been spending extra time with his future wife a lot."

"About him there's something I have to tell you." I said as I pulled her towards the couch.

"What is it baby?"

"Now miss Tina when I tell you this promise me you won't cry okay?" I told her.

"Something happened to Jayshaun didn't it?" she continues, "just get straight to the point I can take it."

"Okay miss Tina Jay got shot and now he in a coma, the doctor's said he gonna make it but their not sure how long he's gonna be in the coma." I said as I held her hand.

"Im good baby cause I have faith in the lord himself he kept him here so I know he gon bring him back baby girl I'm fine." she assured me as she gave me a hug.

"Im glad you feel that way I love your faith." I said.

"In situations like this that's all you can have, I'm gonna go to the hospital to see him you wanna come?" she asked me.

"Okay there's also another part, he's in Chicago." I said.

"Chicago? How'd he get back there?" she asked.

"Him and my brother went back for a visit."

"Oh well I'll probably take off work and go down there for a few days then?" she said.

"Can I come with?" I asked her.

"Sure as long as your mother approves." she agreed.

Miss Tina has the most positive attitude I've seen. She is such an inspirational lady. I'm glad she will let me go back to Chicago with her. Now all I have to do is ask my momma. The hardest part of all. I just hope she let's me go.

Sidney POV (She's in the first couple chapters if you don't remember her)

Its been a couple weeks since I talked to Imani. I guess we still friends. I have been a little anti lately. I now have a boyfriend, his names Anthony. He's tall, darkskin, has a short curly Afro, bottom grillz, and cuts through his right eyebrow. He's pure perfection in my eyes.

I'm suppose to be going out with him in a few minutes. He says he has a surprise for me and I've had butterflies since he told me. I honestly can't wait. Since tomorrow my birthday I'm guessing it's something dealing with that.

--A few minutes later--

You remember

Last November or was it October

You was over oh it was getting cold

It was the middle of December

And they were burning

Wheels were turning

My phone rang and it was Anthony.. I answered.

"Hey babe im outside." he said when I answered the phone.

"Alright, im coming." I grabbed my phone, bag, and shut the door as I left out the house.

When I got in the car I was greeted by Anthony's million dollar smile and he leaned over and kissed my cheek.

About 30 minutes later we pulled up at Texas Roadhouse. We get out the car and walk in. We're greeted by a waitress. She seats us at a table near the window. Thank god.

"So what was the surprise?" I asked Anthony.

"You'll see as soon as we leave here." he answers.

"All this waiting giving me a headache." I whine.

"Stop being a baby lil girl." he said with a chuckle.

After we were finished eating or whatever. We left Texas Roadhouse and we pull up at the local park. Not too many people were there.

We get out the car and Anthony walks me over to a picnic table and we sit down. He holds my hands, looks me in my eyes, and started talking.

"Okay here goes nothing." he continues, "Sidney I dont know what it is about you but I love it. Your perfect in every which way. I know we've been together for almost a month now but I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I love you Sidney and I guess what Im trying to say is..."

Anthony got down on one knee infront of me and pulled out a black suade box..

"Will you make me this one promise?" he asked.

Do you think Imani's mom is gonna let her go to Chicago?

Will Jayshaun wake up by then?

What is the promise Anthony wants Sidney to make to him?

Sorry I took so long to update. Im thinking about a sequel but idk yet. Also, sorry for any mistakes and if its too short. I'll update again sometime this week or on any freetime I have.
