Never Expected

Chapter 3

Skip to the morning.
I woke up and turned to look at my alarm clock. 11:00 am. I slept in late. I managed to get myself out of bed. Then my phone started ringing. I don't feel like picking it up but I looked at the caller I.D and saw it was Jack. He only calls when it's really important otherwise he comes in person or texts me. So conceded I picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Lilly I have something really important to tell you." His voice sounded very very concerned .
"Okay?" And he went on and told me something I was not ready to hear.
     I was currently siting on my bed running my hands through my hair. A habit I do when I'm frustrated or nervous and right now I was feeling both.
"Lilly?" I completely forgot Jack was still on the phone.
"Are u sure?" I asked hoping he was just joking or was mistaken.
"Yes I am completely sure." I told him to come over immediately because we needed to talk about this. He said he was coming as quickly as he could. Ten minutes later I heard the doorbell. I ran downstairs and flung the door open. It was Jack as expected. I invited him to sit on the couch. I grabbed some snacks and drinks then joined him on the couch. I asked him to tell me everything that happened. So he went on to explain that he was in the store and someone called out his name. He turned around and it was him. Before Jack could  could say anything the man started cussing him out and insulting him in many ways. He asked where I was. Jack said he didn't know but the man was too smart and didn't believe him. His last words before he left were " I am back and will get what I want this time." Those words sent shivers down my spine. I felt my hands shaking because I was scared. I couldn't let Jack see I was scared so I tucked my hands away. We went on to talk a little bit more about this and some plans of what to do. Neither one of us knew what to do. We decided to stop talking about it and talk about other things. So we talked about everything else besides that but I couldn't concentrate. The only things running through my mind were he's back. He's back. He's back.
