Today was the day of the date. To say I was nervous was an understatement but I was excited as well. I still couldn't let go of what happened yesterday. I went to bed that night and what Jason said was playing over and over in my mind. I felt like I was overreacting but at the same time I didn't. I mean what he did to my parents shows that he's capable of anything. I pushed the thoughts out of my mind and focused on my date later tonight.

I kept myself occupied with various things throughout the day so I wouldn't worry and get anxious. I did a few chores around the house and other little things I knew needed done. I looked at the clock and it was close to four o'clock. Knowing it would take awhile to get ready and do my makeup I decided to start now.

An hour later my makeup was done and I had put on my outfit. I smiled at myself thinking of wonderful things that could happen tonight. I really cared for Jack and I could tell he cared for me as well. Jack was picking me up around five thirty so I had about thirty minutes until he would arrive.

About twenty minutes later the doorbell went off. I opened it and saw Jack standing there. He looked amazing. He was dressed in a nice blue dress shirt and black dress pants. Before I could make a comment about his appearance he looked at me and said,

"Wow you look beautiful." I felt my face immediately turn red. I looked down at the floor embarrassed. Once I regained my voice and confidence I replied,

"Thanks and you look handsome." Now it was his turn to blush. He asked me if I was ready to go and I responded with a single head nod. Still a little embarrassed.

On the way to the restaurant I felt funny. I hope I wasn't getting sick. I pushed the thoughts of being sick to the back on my mind and blamed it on the nerves. During the car ride we made small talk which was great.

As soon as we arrived at the restaurant my nerves went up very high. I felt like I had a zoo in my stomach. I was very shaky but I took a deep breath and walked into the restaurant with Jack right by my side.

The restaurant was beautiful. It had a couple chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Their was candles on each table and the floor was a red velvet. It was absolutely beautiful. As I looked around and made eye contact with Jack all my nerves calmed down and I smiled at the sight before me. We got seated almost immediately. The tables were very similar to the red velvet floor. The waitress handed us the menus. All the food sounded delicious. In the end I choose steak and mashed potatoes that seemed like it would be really good.

As we waited for food we talked a lot. We already knew each other well but still there were things to learn about each other. He felt comfortable with me and so did I. We were both extremely into music but we both knew that about each other but I didn't know what artist he liked. We needed up having an in depth conversation about music. We laughed about various things. He made some great jokes and was so flirty because he kept touching my hand and or my arm. He was being so cute I felt like my heart was flying.

Once our food arrived we still continued our conversation which surprised me. Normally when the food gets here conversation dies down but it did the exact opposite. The food was spectacular as expected.

The night started coming to an end and we got dessert. We both couldn't finish so we got a box to take home. Jack paid even though I tried to fight him over it but he wouldn't let me. As we stood up to leave. I heard someone said my name. It sounded like it was coming from my right and Jack was on my left. I turned around and saw nobody I knew or anyone who looked like they said anything since everyone seemed to be in other conversations. The voice definitely didn't sound like Jack. I felt like I was going insane. I ignored it, maybe I imagined it. We got in the car and Jack drove me home.

Before I got out of the car, Jack gave me a goodnight kiss. I blushed and felt like my head was spinning as I made my way up to the door. I opened the door. As I grabbed pajamas and went to get a shower. I thought about tonight. I smiled to myself. This relationship was going to work.

As soon as I got out of the shower, I got dressed and ready for bed. Before I went to bed, I went downstairs to grab a water. As I walked past my front door to get to the kitchen, I noticed there was a note under the front door. Being curious I picked up the note. It read:

Hope you had fun tonight on your little date because there's not gonna be a next one. You belong with me and I'm gonna make sure that happens and he won't stand in my way.

Without a doubt I knew it was Jason. What was he going to do. How did he know I went on a date? All of a sudden the pieces fit. I didn't imagine the voice, it was Jason. Fear flooded through my mind. I ran upstairs. I thought about calling Jack but I couldn't. I didn't want him to worry or fight him and get hurt. I needed to handle this on my own. So I did what might be the stupidest thing to do. I dialed Jason's number. I still had it in contacts so I hit call. Within the first ring he picked up

"I was expecting this call. "

" What do you mean you won't let him get in the way what are you going to do to him?"

"Whatever I have to." He said in a sinister voice. Before I could respond rage took over. I hung up and threw my phone across my bed. I grabbed my car keys. I drove to a place I never thought I would go back to.
