Never Expected

Chapter 8

I woke up and smelled something really nice. I laid in bed trying to figure out what it was. It smelled like food. I didn't make food. This was weird. Maybe I was dreaming. I pinched myself to make sure. Nope this was real. I decided to get out of bed and go check for myself.
As I made my way down the stairs I heard voices. I was really scared so I ran back upstairs. I grabbed something sharp and slowly walked back downstairs. I walked the long way around so I would get to the kitchen last. I was scared I'm not gonna lie I hung to the wall As I started to round the corner to the kitchen I felt someone put their hands on my shoulder. I screamed and elbowed whatever did that. I heard a moan and turned around. It was Jack G.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't realize it was you." While holding his stomach he responded
" it's fine. I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you but I didn't think you would be that scared." He said smirking. I gave him a mocking look. Then I asked him what the crap he was doing here. He told me that he and Jack were making breakfast for me. I said that it was so thoughtful of them to do but they shouldn't have done that. Then I asked him how he got in.  He told me Jack had a key. Then I remembered I have given him a keg. That make sense. We walked back into the kitchen and saw the other Jack. He greeted me then went back to cooking so I sat down and watched him.
A couple minutes later he said the food was done. He served it to me. I thanked him and then waited. He started at me. I wanted to wait for them to get their food before I ate. I explained it to him and he rolled his eyes and grabbed two plates. He filled them up with food then gave one to Jack and kept the other one for himself. We started eating and my phone rang. I really needed to put it on silent. Both Jacks looked up and gestured for me to answer it so I did.
" Hello
" Hey Lilly. " I recognized that voice it was my best friend.
"What's up?" I asked because like Jack she only calls when she has to tell me or ask me something important so I was curious.
"You remember the other day when I asked you about the dance?"
"Uh yeah why?"
"Well I can't go with you anymore?"
"What?!" I said a lot louder then I intended to. Both boys looked up at me confused. I shook it off and continued my conversation.
"I found someone else to go with." She said in a tone. I could not believe this. I got my hopes up that it might actually be fun and she bailed on me.
"Who?" Maybe it was a guys cause that would make sense and I would be perfectly okay with that.
"Brittany". I almost dropped my phone. Was she kidding? Brittany was a really popular girl I know and she's so mean and rude and my best friend has been trying to be friends with her for the longest time. I didn't understand why.
"So your just gonna ditch me for her?!" I said sounded really mad because I was.
"Glad you understand." She said with a bratty tone and with that she hung up. I started down at my phone for a little while. That was so rude.  She ditched me for her. I sat my phone down on the table and put my head on the table. I know I sound like I'm over reacting. But this was not the first time she's ditched me for her. Maybe she wasn't my real friend but I can't stand to loose someone else. Suddenly I felt two hands on my shoulder. I looked up it was both Jack they each had one hand on my shoulder. I forgot they were there. I felt like crying. But I didn't want to show that I was weak so I walked up to my room and slammed the door and that's when the tears fell.
