Never Expected

Chapter 20

Jack J Pov
I was out of my mind. All I could think about is Lilly. What was wrong with me? I wanted to call her but she was with her friends and I didn't want to bug her. We had a date tomorrow and I honestly can't wait. I didn't know what was going on with my feelings lately but I know I needed to be with her. Jack walked into the room. He has a smile on his face and it was a troubling one.
"What did you do?"
"Nothing. Why would you think I did something?."
"You have a troubling smile."
"Oh yeah that. I know what Lilly is wearing on your date. You are going to be speechless." I looked at him. How did he know? Before I could ask his phone rang he excused himself and went to go talk to whoever was on the other line.
  After a couple minutes Jack walked back in. I wanted to ask him earlier but decided not to. I didn't care how he knew. I couldn't wait to see what she was wearing. I bet she would look so beautiful.
Lilly Pov
This was turning into the best night ever. I have never felt more happy in my life then where I am right now. Then the subject I hope wouldn't come up came up.
"So Lilly are you dating anyone?" I didn't know how to answer that.
"Kinda it's hard to explain." They were  very curious so I explained the Jack situation to them.
"Wow." They both said as I finished telling them.
"I think he totally loves you!" Rose said.
" love is a very strong word I don't think he loves me."
"Oh please the way that you are describing how he treats you and acts around you I think I'm right."
"How do you feel about him?" Vanessa questioned.
" I have had a crush on him for awhile but now that it is actually happening I don't know how to feel. " they nodded understanding what I meant.
"You should call him and ask him?" Rose blurted out randomly.
"What? No are you crazy? I like him. He likes me. That's all"
"Well do you think you two have a future because just liking each other won't get you very far. Do you think it's love?"
"I don't know I haven't thought about that. You are right but I like where we are right now. "
"Lilly I can't tell that's not true I know you are excited for your date and all  but I know you want your to be serious but your scared of what he wants."she knew me very well. She was right. I wanted something serious and I wanted to know of Jack thought we have a future but I didn't want to call.
  In the end my friends won and I ended up dialing his phone. I hope he wasn't going to pick up but of course no luck.
"Hey Lilly!" he sounded so happy it was cute.
"Hey. " I said way too quietly.
"You okay?" He asked
"Yea I just wanted to ask you something. "
"Okay what?" I took a deep breath then asked
"How do you feel about us?" There was silence  for a little bit before I heard a response.
"I really like us together and can't wait to see what will happen between us." That was a great response.
"Why are you asking?"
"No reason." I lied.
"Okay bye Lilly love you!" Then he hung up. That was a good call. It seems to me that he thought we had a future together. Wait did he just say he loved me?
  Jack Pov
I hung up the phone before realizing what I just said. I just told her I loved her. What was she thinking right now? I was not one of those guys who says I love you way too early in relationship. Did I mean it? I don't know why was going on in my brain. I shouldn't have said that. I felt stupid but also kinda relived. I guess I really do feel this way for her and I finally get it off my chest but what does she think of me?
